Answer: Robert Downey Jr

Robert Downey Jr plays the part of Tony Stark, who invents "Iron Man" to escape captivity from the Ten Rings gang. Robert Downey Jr is an American born actor who has appeared in many films since 1970, including "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints", "Tropic Thunder" and "Sherlock Holmes".

He is a well known, versatile actor who fits the part of "Iron Man" brilliantly, with his charming sense of humour.

Answer: Arc Reactor technology

Tony already has a large Arc Reactor back at home, in Stark Industries, but when in captivity he minimises this technology to keep him alive and help him escape. The Arc Reactor is a fictional power source designed for the original "Iron Man" comics and has also been incorporated into the film. Tony's company in captivity, Yinsen, suggests this mini Arc Reactor could power his heart for fifty lifetimes! To which Tony responds: "Or something big for 15 minutes".

Answer: James Rhodes locates him with helicopters.

Although Tony uses the suit to escape captivity, the flight system shuts down and he crashes into a sand dune at high speed, shattering it. From here on he walks the desert until he is found by James Rhodes, and other army members, in helicopters. Colonel James Rhodes is an old friend of Tony's and has long used Stark Industries' weapons in the forces.

He is a natural born fighter and a kind soul.

Pepper Potts is in fact Tony's assistant. She is portrayed by Gwyneth Paltrow, as a spicy but shy woman with a soft spot for Tony, which she displays on many occasions. One of the most touching of these is gifting Tony the mini Arc Reactor he used to escape captivity (and told her to destroy) with the words, "Proof that Tony Stark has a heart" written on the case. Pepper goes on to play an important part in destroying Obadiah Stane in his Iron Monger machine, towards the end of the movie.

Answer: Jarvis

Jarvis "runs the house", as noted by Pepper Potts. He is a computerised system that helps Tony build the new and improved Iron Man suit, after he escapes from the Ten Rings. He has a witty sense of humour for a computer, often making stabs at Tony. One of my favourites is when Tony says his suit design is a "little ostentatious", to which Jarvis sarcastically responds "What was I thinking? You're usually so discrete."

Answer: On a satellite

Tony is having a conversation with Jarvis about the improvements that need to be made to the suit, when he suggests using the Gold Titanium metal from Satellite 10. No more information is given to us about Satellite 10 but we can presume that it is something Tony has previously invented.

Answer: On the belly of one of the planes

The jets are chasing down and shooting at Tony so he deploys flaps, resulting in the jets soaring past him so he can take cover under one of the planes' bellies. The air force is momentarily stumped by this disappearance until one of the pilots spots Tony on the belly of his partner's plane.

He tells him to "shake him off". After successfully doing so Tony collides with the wing of the other jet, taking it down. The pilot uses his ejector seat but the parachute doesn't open and Tony comes to the rescue once again.

Answer: Dress

Tony forgets Pepper's birthday so she takes the liberty of spending his money for him. She buys a lovely blue/grey evening dress for Tony's party. Tony is clearly taken aback by Pepper's beauty and asks her to dance and from here on the situation gets a little uncomfortable between the pair, who clearly have feelings for each other.

Answer: A bodyguard

Agent Phil Coulson from S.H.I.E.L.D comes up with the cover story that a bodyguard was in the Iron Man suit when it malfunctioned. He does this to protect Tony from the public thinking it was him, which would understandably cause unwanted fuss. But Tony clearly thinks differently and doesn't use the "he was on his yacht" story as suggested and tells the public he is Iron Man.

Terrence Howard was born in Chicago and has been interested in acting from a young age. He has appeared in many films since the 1990s, including "Spark", "Big Momma's House" and "Hustle & Flow". He's won many awards and fits the part of Col. James Rhodes perfectly.
