She did pull off a spectacular British accent and played her part so well, many reviewers have called her the "Dawsons's Creek" star most likely to have a successful acting career in the long run.

Anna Friel, a British actress most likely known for her role as Hermia in the Michelle Pfeiffer-Kevin Kline version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream", played the troubled character of Marina very well. In fact, she did it so well, I watched this movie with many friends who walked away absolutely despising Marina for everything she did to keep Holly and Nat apart and making Holly as miserable as she could. Personally, I just see Marina as a very insecure girl who never wanted anyone to be more important than her in her best friend's eyes.
