Rita, played by Elizabeth Banks, was collecting gold to help her build Goldar.

Goldar was the giant monster that she used to fight against the Rangers at the end of the movie.

She started out stealing gold teeth from a person she killed, and eventually stole larger and larger chunks of gold from each person or place she attacked.

On the news she was deemed the "Gold Killer".

Rita appeared to float above Trini's bed and ask if Trini knew who she was.
