One of the best Stephen King books to be made into a film follows the relationship between prison guard Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) to a strange prisoner on death row, John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), like the drink only spelled different.
This was the second collaboration between Stephen King and director Frank Darabont, as they also worked together on "The Shawshank Redemption".

Unfortunately, this is another one of Stephen King's books that I think did not transfer that well to screen, or could have been done better.
A genetically created flu virus is released and most of the population is wiped out. The survivors are drawn towards two sides. Good lead by Mother Abigal and Evil lead by Randall Flag. This leads to a final confrontation which could end in the annihilation of either good or evil.

The first of the new animated films I watched and I was amazed that within a short while I forgot that it was a animated film, it seemed so real.
