At the beginning of the movie, Deloris is called on by her teacher to name all the Apostles. Deloris goes on to be silly and names a couple of bogus Apostles, such as Ringo. Her teacher then gets frustrated with her and pulls her aside and tells her, "Deloris Wilson, you are the most unruly, disobedient girl in this school."

After Deloris and Vince's big fight, Willy and Joey bring a white box to Deloris in the girls' dressing room. Deloris doesn't want to open the box, but Tina and Michelle insist that she should. After Deloris opens the box, Michelle is excited for her and says, "Oh look it's mink! It's a purple mink, Deloris!" Sadly, it turns out it came from Vince's wife's closet!

After Willy and Joey try to kill Deloris for witnessing the murder of the limo driver, Deloris high tails it to the police station. There, Lt. Souther and the detectives reveal to Deloris that Vince is an underworld figure and that he's into drug dealing and money laundering. She is surely scared for her life after that!

Lt. Souther takes Deloris to "the last place on Earth that Vince would ever look for her" - a convent. Mortified, Deloris stomps out of the church, then she and Lt. Souther start going back and forth about why she should stay there. She says, "What am I gonna do here? I'm gonna go crazy here.

There is nothing but a lot of white women dressed as nuns. What am I gonna do here?" Lt. Souther then says, "Pray."

When Deloris and Reverend Mother finally arrive at the lunch table, Reverend Mother introduces Deloris as Mary Clarence. She tells the girls how she is joining them from a somewhat progressive convent. Mary Patrick, who is always full of sunshine, is excited to have a new member and suggests that Mary Clarence should offer the day's blessing.

When Deloris is finally convinced by Tina and Michelle to open the box from Vince, she is ecstatic to find the beautiful purple mink coat. When she goes to try it on, she looks at the tag and is crushed when she finds Vince's wife's name sewn in it. All she can say is "Connie LaRocca." Vince had given her his wife's purple mink coat. Poor Deloris!

Connie LaRocca is sitting on the couch at the home she and Vince share and is watching the story of St. Katherine's choir and their newly found activity with the community. Mary Clarence is supposed to be in hiding, but ends up with her face on the news! Connie is persistently trying to get Vince to look at the TV, but he is too caught caught up in his game of pool to actually pay attention to the news.

This part in the movie always makes me want to distract Vince to make sure that he doesn't look at the TV!

Answer: Moonlight Lounge

Lt. Souther comes to get Deloris out of the convent when he finds out that Vince knows where she is hiding. She doesn't want to abandon the nuns right before their big debut for the Pope, so she goes into the "little nun's room" to get away from him. When she comes out the outside door, she runs into Mary Robert and a couple of other unexpected faces... Willy and Joey! They then grab both Mary Clarence and Mary Robert.

They throw them in the limo and haul butt! Willy is sitting in the back holding a gun to Deloris' head and tells them that they are taking them back to the Moonlight Lounge. Thank goodness Mary Robert gets away or else Deloris may have been killed!

When the nuns finally catch up to Deloris after their helicopter ride to the Moonlight Lounge, they all scatter about the casino to lose and confuse Vince, Willy and Joey. Deloris directs them to an exit of the building where they all try to sneak out. Before they can, Vince, Willy and Joey show up behind them and draw Deloris out of the crowd of nuns. Vince orders Joey to shoot Deloris, but he won't do it because she is still in her nun habit. So, as Vince raises his gun to shoot her, Lt. Souther comes at just the right time and shoots Vince through the window in his arm. Vince lets out a loud yell and grabs his arm in pain!

Answer: Deloris and Mary Robert

After Vince, Willy and Joey are arrested, Deloris and the nuns make it back to the church to perform for the Pope. The choir starts singing 'I Will Follow Him' together, then after Sister Alma jams out on the piano, Deloris starts singing her solo. As soon as Deloris' solo is over, Mary Patrick and Mary Robert sing a mini duet together.

When they finish it, Mary Patrick backs away and files back in with the other nuns so Mary Robert can sing her solo. This part always give me goosebumps!
