Answer: Blows out the jack-o-lantern

Jack-o-lanterns are a recurring theme in 'Trick 'r Treat'. According to the film, jack-o-lanterns will protect you as long as they remain lit. It is the blowing out of the jack-o-lantern that brings the wrath of Sam (the pumpkin-headed creature) down on Ellen. Another example of this theme is Charlie's death shortly after demolishing the pumpkins.

Answer: A lollipop

Sam hears Emma complain about Halloween and sees her blow out the jack-o-lantern. He uses the lollipop he had taken a bite of to kill her. Henry finds Emma's body with the lollipop in her mouth and adorned with a festive string of lights.

Answer: Charlie's head

Billy keeps whining to his father to help him carve the eyes. He wants them to be 'scary'. When Wilkins finally goes to help Billy, it's Charlie's head on the carving table. This is when we learn that Billy is not only privy to, but takes part in, his father's fiendish activities.

Answer: A vampire

We first see Wilkins killing Allie, in... ironically... an alley, before we know it's him. The reveal that it's Wilkins behind the mask and faux fangs doesn't occur until he attacks Laurie.

Answer: Halloween School Bus Massacre

The story tells of eight children who were drowned when one of them accidentally drove the school bus into the quarry. Macy has brought them all to the quarry to play a prank on Rhonda by convincing her the children from the school bus massacre have risen from the dead.

Answer: Just Rhonda

Rhonda locks herself in the quarry elevator and leaves the others to die at the hands of the eight reanimated children. The jack-o-lantern theme emerges again in this segment. The dead school children rise just after the last jack-o-lantern is kicked into the water.

Answer: Little Red Riding Hood

Ironically she's dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, who was eaten by a wolf. One of her friends is dressed as a shepherdess (sheep/wolves), and the party they're going to is at Sheep's Meadow. All of these things foreshadow the reveal of her true nature.

Answer: Werewolves

The party they've planned at Sheep's Meadow is in reality a banquet for the hungry wolves. It is to be Laurie's first kill and her friends have already chosen a victim, who is dressed as a giant baby. The actor playing that role had also played The Great Child in the movie "Thir13en Ghosts".

Answer: Laurie kills him

Wilkins intends for Laurie to be one of his victims, but she turns the tables on him. Laurie unmasks Wilkins and removes his fake fangs, pleased her first meal is a killer, rather than an innocent victim.

Answer: A candy bar

Sam goes for the killing blow with the lollipop, but stabs a candy bar that had fallen on Kreeg instead. Sam wanders off happily munching the candy and Kreeg has learned to not be a Halloween grinch. We next see Kreeg, in a multitude of bandages from his battle with Sam, doling out handfuls of candy to happy trick or treaters.
