Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Columbus our leading character of the movie has survived a zombie apocalypse. It is only thanks to his long list of rules that he has survived this far. Rules can be a great start for knowing how to get through "Zombieland", but not as great as the introduction sequence. After Columbus reveals four of his rules of survival, what song is used in the introduction while vicious zombies attack?

Answer: Metallica, "For Whom the Bell Tolls"

Columbus reviewed the first four rules in the introduction complete with visuals to show why these rules were so important. For instance; rule number one was "Cardio", to be able to out run a zombie. Rule two was "Double Tap", to ensure the kill of a zombie. Rule three, "Beware of bathrooms", was created to keep from getting a surprise visit from a zombie. Rule four, a pretty basic rule, was "Seat Belts", concluding the introduction for the first four rules and paving the way to the song "For Whom the Bell Tolls" as zombies chase and attack humans in slow motion, with utter and complete chaos in the background.
2. Columbus owes his survival to rules that he has made up for himself. For instance, his #1 rule is cardio. What is his #4 rule?

Answer: Seat Belts

When Columbus gets into the car after out running the zombies at the gas station, there happens to be a zombie in the back seat. That zombie crashes through the front windshield after Columbus slams on his brakes, and thanks to rule #4 "Seat Belts", he was unharmed. But to avoid future surprises "Check the Back Seat" became rule #31.
3. Tallahassee drove up in a black Cadillac SUV when he first met Columbus. Not knowing if either is a friend or foe, they both pulled their guns out and pointed them at each other until they distinguished that neither is an immediate threat. Columbus convinced Tallahassee to let him ride along, and immediately after getting into the SUV, Columbus used one of his survival rules. What rule did he use?

Answer: Check the Back Seat

As Columbus hopped into the Cadillac, he quickly went into rule mode to "Check the Back Seat". The duo was only supposed to be together as far as Texarkana, Texas, but ended up companions for the long haul.
4. Before the zombies took over the world, Columbus was an introvert that was more interested in playing "World of Warcraft" than going out. He received a visit from his very frightened and insanely hot neighbor who he referred to as 406, which was her apartment number. She had explained to Columbus that there was a man who chased her, and tried to bite her. Who was the man?

Answer: Homeless man

Columbus soon discovered that she was in fact bitten by the homeless man because she turned into a zombie that Columbus had to defend himself against, making neighbor 406 his first zombie kill.
5. Tallahassee was on a mission to find Twinkies, and made a pit stop at a grocery store to find some. To lure the zombies to the front, he played a little tune on the banjo and just before bashing the first zombie with that banjo, what phrase did he say?

Answer: "You have a pretty mouth."

You may or may not be aware of the reference, but as it turns out the tune "Dueling Banjos" that he played on the banjo and the phrase are both from the famous 1972 film "Deliverance".
6. Before the zombie outbreak, Wichita and Little Rock were running scams for quick money. Little Rock walked away with $400 dollars in cash as a result of the gas station scam with a lost piece of jewelry. What type of fake costume jewelry was involved?

Answer: Ring

The gas station attendant was all too happy to give away everything he had in the register when he thought he would be getting a $3,000 reward for a fake diamond ring. Wichita and Little Rock had a hand full of fake diamond rings left over that they could continue to scam their way to California with.
7. After the zombie outbreak, Wichita and Little Rock were determined to make their way to what amusement park?

Answer: Pacific Play Land in California

The reason why they chose this destination is because they heard that this area was zombie free. This is the same conversation where Columbus learned that his home-town was a complete ghost town and had been burnt to the ground.
8. Rule #32, "Enjoy the Little Things" was utilized at a gift shop, where Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock broke most of the store to let out some pent-up energy. There was mention of a zombie kill of the week before they even entered the shop. What method was used to kill the zombie that awarded them the zombie kill of the week?

Answer: Zombie crushed by falling piano

Before entering the gift shop, Tallahassee killed the one zombie that lingered inside. After his proud kill, Tallahassee says, "What do you think, zombie kill of the week?" As Columbus the narrator responds, "Close but no cigar, zombie kill of the week goes to Sister Cynthia Knickerbocker." As Sister Cynthia Knickerbocker briskly walked away from a rabid zombie that closely trailed her, she pulled a rope before entering a church, and as a result the piano fell from above and crushed the zombie.
9. The group ends up at Bill Murray's mansion for a little rest and relaxation. Tallahassee and Wichita get to meet Bill Murray who happened to be dressed up as a zombie, but of course he was not actually one of the undead. Wichita kept staring at him because she thought he had a strong resemblance to which rock band member that Bill Murray had previously just seen?

Answer: Eddie Van Halen

Bill Murray had admitted that he saw Eddie Van Halen, only it was Eddie Van Halen the zombie that he came across. Unfortunately for Bill Murray, he was shot and killed by Columbus because he was mistaken for a real zombie.
10. In order to save Wichita and Little Rock from a zombie attack at the amusement park, Columbus had to overcome one of his ultimate fears. He admitted that he feared this even more than zombies. What is the fear?

Answer: Fear of Clowns

In order to get to the ride that Wichita and Little Rock were stuck on, Columbus had to maneuver through an obstacle of zombies. The last obstacle of course was a zombie clown, and with no bullets left in his gun, he had to kill the zombie clown with a sledge hammer typically used for the strong man game. Columbus not only overcame his fear of clowns, but broke rule #17, "Don't be a Hero".

It was totally worth it to gain something he said he never really had, a family.
