'Throw your arms around me' - Of course! Pretty much an anthem for lovesick Australians since it was first recorded. And just as popular when it was redone by Paul McDermott (and D*A*A*S). A nice, easy one to begin.

2. 'And it only takes a minute, just a minute of your time'

Answer: Deadstar

'Over the Rainbow' - Deadstar. Featuring the pop-perfect vocals of Caroline Kennedy, formerly of another great Australian pop group, The Plums.

3. 'Not sad, not crying'

Answer: george

'Polyserena' - george. My favourite Brisband! Discovering that Katie and Tyrone Noonans mother is an opera singer came as absolutely no surprise. If you haven't heard these guys, check them out. You won't be sorry!!

4. 'I've been looking around for some kind of feeling'

'Don't go now' - Ratcat. In my opinion, the most underrated pop song by the most underrated pop band of the late 80's-early 90's. I might be flying alone there, but that's me, never afraid to make the big calls!!

'100 Fresh Disciples' - Machine Gun Fallatio. These guys are living, touring proof that to put on a brilliant, entertaining live act you a) don't need a stellar budget and a stadium and b) you don't need to sacrifice musical ability.

'Harpoon' - Jebediah. Listen to the lyrics and you realise that the narrator is a complete pig, but it's such a pretty song!!!

'Love Lies Bleeding' - Sonic Animation. Another brilliant live act. I've rarely seen as many happy people in the one place as the Sonic Animation set at Livid 2000.

Answer: The Whitlams

'You look like Louis Burdett' - The Whitlams. A song that I relate to on just about every level. I'm not saying anything else, just in case my friends ever do this quiz.

9. 'Waiting for a knock coming way too late'

Answer: Powderfinger

'My Happiness' - Powderfinger. I may stand accused of favouring bands from Brisbane, but I'll always argue that it's because we breed them GREAT!!

10. 'You're never here on time and you'll be that way forever'

Answer: Pop

'Tingly' - Pop. My favourite song and, much to my distress, the only song they ever recorded. Featuring the beautiful voice of Angie Hart (Frente). If I ever find out who stole my copy, BEWARE!!!
