Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" ends not with violence, but with heartbreak. Onegin falls in love with Tatiana many years later, but he is too late since she is now married. Onegin has to win the award as the biggest snob in all of opera.
9. I can't believe this guy Jose! Just because I used to be his girlfriend he thinks he owns me. I much prefer Escamillo. He's a bullfighter and he is SO gorgeous. My friends tell me to get out of town because Jose is looking for me. But I'm not running. You can't hide from fate.

Bizet's "Carmen" is one of the top three operas in terms of popularity. Carmen is a very challenging role, both vocally and dramatically.
10. I was only trying to help! Buoso Donati died and left all his money to the monks. His relatives were frantic. As a favor to them I pretended to be the dying Donati and dictated a new will, leaving everything to myself! Donati's relatives weren't too happy with that either. You just can't please some people!
