Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What artist remixed the song "Smooth Criminal"?

Answer: Alien Ant Farm

The ORIGINAL "Smooth Criminal" is sung by Michael Jackson.
2. What artist sings the song "Think Twice"?

Answer: Eve 6

"Think twice before you touch my girl, come around I'll let you feel the burn; think twice before you touch my girl, come around, come around, no more." This song is one very awesome song. My favorite of his was "Beautiful Oblivion", but when I heard this one I established a new favorite. "Beautiful Oblivion", though, is still up there, it's my second favorite of the band's.
3. What artist sings the song "Girl All The Bad Guys Want"?

Answer: Bowling for Soup

This one's on their "Drunk Enough To Dance" album. I LOVE this song!
4. What artist sings the song "Unwell"?

Answer: Matchbox 20

This one's on their "More Than You Think You Are" album. It's my favorite of theirs.
5. What artist sings the song "Ants Marching"?

Answer: Dave Matthews Band

This is one of my favorites by Mr. Matthews. It's on the band's "Remember Two Things" album.
6. Which of these songs is NOT in the movie "Dumb & Dumber"?

Answer: There She Goes

"Boom Shaka Laka" by Apache Indian was the very first song played throughout the opening credits. "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave was played about 15 minutes into the movie when Lloyd went to the store and later was "robbed by a sweet old lady on a motorized cart". "Mary Mo" was played when Harry and Mary went skiing together. "There She Goes" by Sixpense None The Richer, however, was not in this movie.
7. Which of these songs was played at the very beginning of the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds"?

Answer: "Flower" by Moby

"Painted On My Heart" and "Boost Me" were played later in the movie. "Speed Demon" wasn't in the movie.
8. Which of these songs is played toward the end of the movie "Orange County"?

Answer: "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World

"The Middle" is my absolute favorite of theirs, "Sweetness" is my second. "The Middle" was the only song by Jimmy Eat World played in this movie.
9. Which song was played at the very end of the movie "Home Alone 3"?

Answer: My Town

Call me weird, but I really liked this song. It was nice to hear a cool song like this one play at the end of a terrible movie. I'm sorry, but it had absolutely nothing to do with the storyline of the first two "Home Alone" movies. How many trilogies end like that?! On top of that, the acting was terrible.
10. Which song is the theme song for the movie "Gladiator"?

Answer: Now We Are Free

This song is sung by Enya. "Gift of a Thistle" and "Preparing for Battle" were from "The Patriot" starring Mel Gibson, and "Red Warrior" was from "The Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise.
11. Fill in the blank in this chorus of a song sung by Hoobastank: "I've found a ____ for me, to change who I used to be, a ____ to start over new, and the ____ is you."

Answer: reason

This one's called "The Reason", and I love this song. It's on their (wouldn't you know it) "The Reason" album.
12. Finish this chorus of a song sung by Del Amitri: "The wrong guy, the wrong situation, the right time to...".

Answer: roll to me

This one's called "Roll To Me". It's a short song, a little over two minutes.
13. What is the name of this song (this is the chorus): "BABY!, BABY!, BABY!, when all your love is gone, who will save me, from all I'm up against out in this world; and MAYBE!, MAYBE!, MAYBE!, you'll find something that's enough to keep you, but if the bright lights don't receive you, then you can turn yourself around, and COME ON HOME! Yeah, come on home!"?

Answer: Bright Lights

By Matchbox 20, this song is the third on their "More Than You Think You Are" album, right before "Unwell".
14. What is the name of this song (this is the chorus): "Hold me now! I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, that maybe six feet, ain't so far down!"?

Answer: One Last Breath

This one's on Creed's "Weathered" album, and hear me out when I say that this is an AWESOME song.
15. What is the name of this song (this is the chorus): "She likes the romance, the slow dance, the staying out all night; she likes the Christmas lights all year round, why put 'em up, take 'em down; she watches baseball, hates the mall, hangs out with the guys; that's what I know, about what she likes."?

Answer: What She Likes

This is a good one sung by Rain Angel.
16. What artist sings this song (this is the chorus): "I don't wanna come back down from this cloud, it's taking me all this time to find out what I need; I don't wanna come back down from this cloud, it's taking me all this, all this, all this time."?

Answer: Bush

"This Cloud" is the name of this one, and it and "The Chemicals Between Us" are my two favorites of Bush.
17. What artist sings this song (this is the chorus): "If I could find you now, things would get better, we would leave town, and run forever, let your waves crash down on me, and take me away, yeah."?

Answer: Yellowcard

This hit is called "Ocean Avenue", and it's on their "Ocean Avenue" album.
18. What artist sings this song (this is the chorus): "We were meant to live for some much more, have we lost ourselves, somewhere we live inside, somewhere we live inside."?

Answer: Switchfoot

This awesome song by Switchfoot is called "Meaant To Live". Switchfoot is a Christian band and you can tell by this song.
19. What artist sings this song (this is the chorus): "Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, way before Nirvana there was U2, and Blondie, and music still on MTV, her two kids, in high school, they tell her that she's uncool, 'cause she's still preoccupied-pied, with 19-, with 19-, with 1985."?

Answer: both SR-71 and Bowling for Soup

They do sound alike, but there is a slight difference in their voices if you listen carefully to both. Personally, I think the song by SR-71 sounds better. Their song is 3 minutes, 45 seconds, Bowling for Soup's is 3 minutes, 14 seconds.
20. What artist sings this song (this is the chorus): "You were everything I wanted, but I just can't finish what I started."?

Answer: A Newfound Glory

The name of this song is "My Friends Over You". The band has been debating about if they should be A Newfound Glory or just Newfound Glory. I think either sounds good, but A Newfound Glory sounds a little better.
