Which Ted am I looking to find?

Answer: Ted Bundy

After a horrific career as a kidnapper, rapist, serial killer and necrophile, Ted Bundy was arrested in Utah in 1975 for a traffic offense. Diligent investigation by detectives led to his eventual trial - and conviction - for the kidnapping and assault of Carol DaRonch. Transferred to another courthouse to stand trial for the murder of Caryn Campbell, he elected to act as his own attorney, and while in the law library escaped by jumping out of a second story window.

He was soon captured, and jailed, and then managed to escape a second time.

His eventual fate was to receive three death sentences, and he was executed in 1989. At the end, he confessed to committing 30 murders between 1974 and 1978, but the number is considered to be possibly - and probably - higher by authorities.
