It was then that the butler remembered Joseph and told Pharaoh about him and Pharaoh called for Joseph. Before Joseph heard Pharaoh's dream, he told Pharaoh, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace" (Genesis 41:16).

After Joseph found out that Mary was pregnant, he thought of hiding her away so that she would not be a public example. It was during this time that the angel appeared to him in a dream. In the dream, the angel said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:20-21).

This reassured Joseph and he did take Mary as a wife, but he did not know her until after Jesus was born.

Elihu said to Job, "Man is also chastened with pain on his bed, and with strong pain in many of his bones" (Job 33:19). Elihu spoke this way to Job because he thought that Job was not righteous. God also gave Solomon riches and honor, and promised to make his days long if he kept his commandments and followed in David's footsteps.

Peter's sermon was delivered after the crowd had a response that was full of shock and mocking upon seeing the result of the arrival of the Holy Spirit.
