Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This website will let you upvote me.

Answer: Reddit

Reddit works off an upvote-downvote voting system where topics and comments deemed of merit by the site's visitors naturally rise to the top of the pile while ones that aren't either sink to the bottom or are removed from public eyes. While such a system may be considered easy to manipulate (and it is in some cases), it does allow for speedy and important topics to reach the front page, spreading news to the masses.

It has also, in the past, been used for humanitarian efforts.
2. If you're interested, you could always swipe right on me with this app.

Answer: Tinder

The Tinder dating app has a pretty simple interface wherein you input your criteria and pictures and info are generated on your mobile device. If you're interested, you can swipe right, potentially prompting a match and creating a text chat that you can use to get to know the person a bit more. If you swipe left, it indicates that you do not want to have further contact with the individual and you will not see their profile again.
3. You can invite me to get more lives.

Answer: Candy Crush Saga

The "Candy Crush" series of games by King are some of the most popular apps ever released for mobile platforms, and while many would regard them as single-player games, they can also drag others in. Most players will opt to keep trying their hand at puzzles until they run out of lives, and then resume after a certain amount of time, but you can also purchase extra lives or, alternatively, invite other friends to play the game which will also get you extras.

The game also became playable on Facebook and Windows operating systems.
4. You can LIKE me on this platform.

Answer: Facebook

Facebook, started in 2004, became a major Internet networking site in a matter of years, soon containing millions upon millions of members linked together by whatever means. One of the more famous features of the site is the ability to LIKE stories on your feed (or elsewhere), simply clicking a button to state your positive opinion of something, whether it be a text update, a photo, or otherwise. Users are notified whenever someone LIKEs their content.
5. You can give me a star rating.

Answer: Uber

Uber, which has expanded over time to be about more than just driving people with independently contracted cabs, has based its model around giving an opportunity to avoid hailing cabs. Using the app, you end up having a nearby driver take you where you need to go, and if the drive went well, you rate the driver based on a five-star system.

At the same time, the driver is able to rate the passenger on the same scale. Offshoots like UberEats have also allowed for this system to suggest good places to get delivery, and the drivers will bring it right to you.
6. You can back my idea with a pledge.

Answer: Kickstarter

A site dedicated to finding backing for creative and scientific projects, Kickstarter is a unique way to get ideas off the ground for people who need the capital to bring their thoughts to life. A Kickstarter project will start with a proposal from the creator, and provided they can appeal to the site's users, they'll be able to fund their concepts within a set time limit, taking financial backing from people who want to kickstart the concept. Sometimes this results in successful products (and bonuses for backing investors) and sometimes, nothing materializes.
7. This option will allow you to retweet me.

Answer: Twitter

Twitter, a social media app/site for people who only have time to read snippets of information, found immense popularity in the 2010s because it seemed to appeal to those who value brevity above all else. Users submit updates in posts of only 140 characters (or less) and respond in kind.

In addition to simply liking others' comments, users can also retweet what their friends (or others) tweet, continuing to proliferate their messages across the internet. It's one of those apps which has, by and large, changed the face of the world through its creation.
8. You can send me a self-deleting image or video.

Answer: Snapchat

Snapchat is another app that was picked up by millennials, and later than a lot of the others in this quiz (since it launched in 2011 and took a little while to gain traction). With this application, you take photos or videos to create small 'stories' and you can snap them to friends on your contacts list so that they can view them on their mobile devices.

The content is then deleted shortly after viewing. This last point is part of the reason why many have also avoided using the app-- between a lack of record of the post, it's also been used for less-than-savory reasons by more risque users.
9. If you join up with my network here, it could help my potential employers.

Answer: LinkedIn

While some won't use LinkedIn simply because they see no need, it does have a lot of practical use in job-searching and professional management. To use LinkedIn, you fill out your past work experience and then begin connecting with friends and co-workers to flesh out a professional network. You could also decide to link with others simply because they work at your current or previous places of employment, and the web grows ever-bigger.

In the Internet age, this occasionally proves to be a unique and popular hiring tool; after all, it's who you know, right?
10. You can get my help to battle at a gym.

Answer: Pokemon Go

This augmented reality game became an app in 2016, quickly taking the mobile gaming world by storm despite an obvious amount of initial bugs. Nonetheless, the player base ballooned overnight and quickly surged awareness of the Nintendo franchise to players beyond the original series. Aside from catching 'em all out in the real world, the game also allowed players to battle Pokemon in gym locations and, in later updates, work together to defeat more powerful Pokemon at said spots. Upon the game's first release, many of these interactive player-to-player features were not present.
