Answer: Texarcana

Texarcana was ridden by J. Ford for Gary Portelli but couldn't handle the Oaks running a very long distanced last.
2. Which one of these horses was over double figures in the betting for the 2005 VRC Oaks?

Answer: Flora Danica

Flora Danica was the only one in the list over double figures. Empress Lilly was 2nd, Isanami was 3rd in this list, and Astronomia was 4th.

Answer: Vouvray

Vouvray finished 18th out of 18 in the 2005 Caulfield Cup just behind Wild Iris who both were out-classed in the event.

Franklins Gardens dropped out at the 700m and was almost pulled up by jockey Darryll Holland, but eventually walked across the line. Many thought that the horse didn't complete the course and with a last 600m time of 54.07 seconds and a margin of approximately 99.9, it was hard to think otherwise.

Many thought that he didn't come last but rather Mr Celebrity did, which was vital information for people in sweeps. It came later known that offically Franklins Gardens did come last.

Barely A Moment, after winning the Toorak Handicap, went from the 1600m back to the 1200m to fly home at the finish to get second behind Glamour Puss. Unfortunately Barely A Moment was injured and broke down just after the race, and his racing career was over.

Answer: Infinite Grace

Infinite Grace in a big field, found it hard to get a run in the straight. She finally did where she hit the line strongly but just to fall short in the race, finishing second behind Valedictum.

Answer: Spark of Life

Spark of Life ridden by Glen Boss, won the Manikato Stakes to win the first Group One of the 2005-06 season, defeating Perfectly Ready and Our Eqyptian Raine.

Barely A Moment won 2 Group One races by winning the 2005 Dubai Racing Club Cup and the 2005 Toorak Handicap, and on both occasions defeating Super Kid.
