Answer: Colts won 38-35

This Monday night game had it all. Touchdowns a plenty (10) and interceptions (2) that lead to TDs. And a super human effort from Colts QB Peyton Manning, who brought his side back from a 35-14 deficit with little more than 6 minutes regulation play to victory.
The game was won in overtime on a Mike Vanderjagt field goal.
2. What was the half time scoreline?

Answer: Bucs 21-0

The Bucs lead after scoring two first quarter TDs and one in the second quarter. 10:06 left in first quarter saw Bucs QB Brad Johnson pass to Keenan McCardell down the middle for 74 yards. Martin Gramatica kicked the extra point (PAT)for a 7-0 leading.
6:00 left in first quarter and Mike Doss fumbles, which was recovered by Keenan McCardell of the Bucs for a 57-yard return. Martin Gramatica kicked PAT 14-0. In the second quarter with 10:22 remaining, Brad Johnson passed to Reggie Barlow out to the left for 3 yard TD. Martin Gramatica kicked PAT for 21-0 lead.

Answer: Bucs 28-7

Two touchdowns were scored in the third period and Indianapolis managed to get off the mark in the process. 13:24 on the clock and Peyton Manning passed to Marvin Harrison out to the right for a 37 yard TD. Mike Vanderjagt kicked the PAT. A 7-21 deficit faced the Colts. With 1:20 left in the third Brad Johnson passed to Keenan McCardell out to the right for a 15 yard TD. Martin Gramatica kicked Pat for 28-7 lead.

Brad Johnson had game stats of 26 completed passes from 39 attempts. He threw for 318 yards at a completion percentage of 66.7%, and an average of 12.2 yards per completion. He was not sacked once, but was intercepted once, and threw 3 touch down passes. Peyton Manning had figures of 34 completions from 47 attempts. 386 passing yards for a percentage completion totalling 72.3% at 11.4 yards on average per completion. Manning was sacked once for the loss of 5 yards, intercepted once, and had 2 touchdown passes.

The three rushing touchdowns were scored by Ricky Williams(Colts) with 12:20 of the fourth, who ran up the middle for a 1 yard TD(Mike Vanderjagt kicked). Score 28-14 Bucs by James Mungro on 4:15 of the fourth who ran up the middle for a 3 yard TD (Mike Vanderjagt kick) 35 - 21 Bucs. And the amazing score by Ricky Willams at the death.

Answer: 5

Johnson threw for three TDs, and Manning for two.

Answer: 704

Manning threw for 381 yards, while Johnson threw for 318 yards.
**It has since been brought to my attention that the original stats were in fact wrong. (Nov 12th 2003)
Manning has since had 5 yards added to his total of 381 to 386, this was an error that was not in fact down to me but down to records placed as official. The answer therefore was not 699 but 704 yards.

Answer: 6

Ten touchdowns were scored during the game. Keenan McCardell Bucs 7-0, Keenan McCardell again 14-0, Reggie Barlow 21-0 Bucs, Marvin Harrison 7-21 Bucs, Keenan McCardell for his third of the night 28-7 Bucs, Ricky Williams 14-28, Ronde Barber 35-14 Bucs, James Mungro 21-35, Marvin Harrison for his second, 28- 35 and finally Ricky Williams 35-35.
10. What was so significant about the way this game was won?

Answer: Indianapolis became the first team in NFL history to win after trailing by 21 or more points with less than four minutes to play in regulation.

In 2003, the Colts were off to their best start since 1977 and had won all five of its matches, while Tampa fell to 2 wins and 2 losses from its four matches.
