1. Which of these 4 players was the last to get 5 hits on opening day of the season?

Answer: Nellie Fox

Fox did it on April 10th, 1959 for the White Sox. He was the last player of the 20th century to achive this feat. This included a game-winning home run in the 14th inning to start the season.
2. What team started their season by losing 21 straight games, then finishing with a record of 54-107, the worst in team history?

Answer: Orioles

Baltimore has this terrible year in 1988.
3. Which of these sluggers hit opening day home runs for 4 different teams?

Answer: Frank Robinson

Robinson is the only player in history to accomplish this. He has done this a total of eight times throughout his career. He hit them for the Reds (3), Orioles (3), the Angels and the Indians once each.
4. What did Babe Ruth do in his final career at-bat?

Answer: grounded out

On May 31st, 1935 with the Boston Braves, Ruth grounded out to first base in his last at-bat of his career. It was his only at-bat in the game.
5. Who is the only pitcher to hurl a no-hitter in the season opener during the 20th century?

Answer: Bob Feller

Feller no-hit the White Sox on April 16th, 1940 as a young 21 year old. He gave up five walks and struck out eight batters.
6. Dodger great Don Drysdale was used as a relief pitcher how many times in the 1965 season?

Answer: 2

Drysdale pitched in relief twice, on May 19 and Sept 4 (both @ Houston).
7. Season 2001: which team finished first in team batting average and last in ERA?

Answer: Colorado

The team had a .292 average, 20 points higher than the next team Houston Astros. Their ERA was 5.29. Since their inception in 1993, their pitching staff has had a no better ranking than 14th during the 9 season 1993 to 2001.

Answer: Dave Kingman

Kingman banged out 35 in 1986 with the A's. Ted Williams and Mark McGwire hit 29 in their final year, ranking second for most final season home runs.
9. Who is the oldest batter on record in the 20th Century?

Answer: Satchel Paige

Paige was 59 in 1965 and struck out in his final at-bat. Minnie Minoso was 57 when his last at-bat occurred.
10. Which of these players has hit the most career inside-the-park home runs?

Answer: Sam Crawford

Crawford hit an amazing 51 in his career which ended in 1917. Ty Cobb retired with 46 inside four-baggers, and Speaker had 37.
