Answer: Joe DiMaggio

DiMaggio shocked the league in 1936 as a rookie with the Yankees. He retired after only 13 seasons of baseball. He died in 1999.

Answer: Yankees

The Diamondbacks beat the Yankees 4 games to 3. It was a lopsided start when Arizona beat the Yankees 9-1 in game one, and then 4-0 in game two before the Yankees became alive.
