Zach said that he remembered hearing an argument between his parents about baby Dana. Then, he remembered seeing them clean up blood, which he assumed was Dana's blood. He admitted that until his mom killed herself, he had forgotten the incident. He believed not being allowed to talk about Dana probably caused him to forget.

He told Julie he had killed his baby sister and his parents had covered up the crime to protect him. Julie hugged him in comfort. It was shown later that the mysterious trunk, from under the Young's pool, held the bones of an adult female, not a baby at all..

Though no cause for arrest was ever mentioned, Carlos did say that Tanaka had set him up to take some kind of fall.
