Everett, born on June 12th, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana was cast in the guest starring part of Jerry Maddox for this episode of "Castle" in its fourth season. Everett was credited with portraying the character for just this one episode. He has also had guest starring stints on the TV series', "Murder, She Wrote", "Cybill" and "Diagnosis Murder".
2. Which actress played Luella McManus?

Answer: Sarah Lilly

Lilly landed the guest starring character of Luella McManus for this episode of "Castle". Lilly held down the role for just this one episode of the series. Lilly has also held down guest starring spots on the TV shows, "Joan of Arcadia", "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Laverne & Shirley".
3. What was the victim's name?

The team went to a crime scene that was at a very popular night club that was jiving in the 1940s and the victim was identified as Stan Banks. Lanie placed the time of death as being in the morning hours. She stated that it appeared as if he tried to defend himself with an object but obviously it did not work.

Richard went to a club in his dream and he noticed that Kate was there dressed real lovely. Richard said to himself that there was no way he could have her since she was already romantically linked to a mob boss. However, eventually Kate spoke with Richard after the mob boss attacked him.

Richard was reading from the journal that he had and he then got to the final entry. Kate was frustrated since there were some loose ends. The team started to realize that the murder and investigation from the present day resembled one that Richard read about from a journal that had entries dated from the year of 1947. When they did further investigating, they read a statement from someone connected to the victim. The statement was from the victim's secretary, Florence Kennard.

While Richard read the journal entries from 1947, there was much talk about a piece of jewelry knock as the Blue Butterfly. It survived into the modern era since there were many people that were in search of it. It was stated that Stan Banks was interested in locating the Blue Butterfly necklace.
10. Who was revealed to be the killer?

Answer: Frankie

Near the end, Richard and Kate spoke to someone named Jerry who had information on the goings on at the nightclub in 1947 and one who also had information about the Blue Butterfly. While they talked, they mentioned that his gun was used to kill Stan and then an attendant there by the name of Frankie grabbed JErry's gun. Frankie eventually confessed to killing Stan since, like Stan, he also wanted the Blue Butterfly.
