1. What was the name of the character played by George Cole?

Answer: Arthur Daley

"Minder" was created by the writer Leon Griffiths. The series was first broadcast in October 1979 and spanned a very long and impressive 15 years, finally coming to an end in March 1994. During that time, George Cole played the loveable but unscrupulous "entrepreneur" Arthur Daley.
2. Which actor played Arthur's 'Minder' Terry McCann in the series from 1979 to 1989?

Answer: Dennis Waterman

Prior to starring in "Minder", Dennis Waterman played John Thaw's sidekick in the popular cop show, "Sweeney". He has also starred in countless other TV shows as well as some movies.
3. "I Could Be So Good For You", the title track for the show was recorded by which artist?

The title track was sung by Dennis Waterman & The Dennis Waterman Band in 1979. The song reached number 4 in the UK charts in 1980. Dennis Waterman released a couple of albums and by all accounts was quite popular in Portugal!

Answer: "Er Indoors"

Arthur constantly referred to his wife as "Er Indoors". Horace Rumpole of "Rumpole of the Baily" fame called Hilda, his wife, "She Who Must Be Obeyed". The other two are common names given to wives! To my knowledge, "Er Indoors" never appeared in the show.
