Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Andrew said he was going to call his Slayer documentary "Buffy, Slayer of the Vam-pyres" or "Buffy, the Slayer who Knew No Fear". The second choice comes from a comic superhero's tagline. Who is it?

Answer: Daredevil

Daredevil is "The man who knows no fear". He is a blindman who has super-senses that help him fight crime and stuff. I was never a big "Daredevil" fan, but the movie was all right.
2. In "A New Man" Riley tells Buffy she is strong like who?

Answer: Spider-man

Riley: "You're strong, Spider-man strong."
Buffy: "I don't stick to stuff."
3. Andrew and Jonathan had all kinds of geeky references for Willow when she was scary and veiny. Which was a form of one of the characters she was compared to?

Answer: Jean Grey

Andrew called Willow "Dark Willow" in reference to when Jean Grey of the X-Men was taken over by the Phoenix who turned evil, thus became "Dark Phoenix".
4. What comic book did Andrew order, leaving Buffy's phone number so he would know it had come in?

Answer: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Xander asks Andrew if he could order 2 copies before referring to Andrew as a "nerd" when he realized the others were giving him looks.
5. "OK, I know what you're thinking. Andrew, bad guy. You think I'm a super-villain like Dr. Doom or Apocalypse or-or The Riddler. But I admit I went over to the dark side, but just to pick up a few things, a-and now I'm back. I've learned. I'm good again." The quote above mentions characters from all of the following comics except for which?

Answer: Daredevil

Andrew tried to persuade Buffy to untie him using this speech in "Bring On the Night".
6. In the Trio's hideout, Buffy observes various action figurines. Which figurine did Buffy touch?

Answer: Vampirella

Vampirella has a skimpy red costume that barely covers her female areas. I heard that they made a "Vampirella" movie, but it was horrible. She-Ra never had a comic, but I loved that cartoon. I wanted to add it in there just because.
7. Andrew and Xander agree that "Wonder Woman" issue 297/299 was cool. What was the name of that particular issue?

Answer: Catacombs

This was from "Bring on the Night" when Andrew was taking Buffy and the Scoobies to The Seal.
8. Complete the quote: "Ok, say, um, do you have any weaknesses I should know about if I'm gonna be working for you, like, uh, _____ or allergies?"

Answer: kryptonite

Andrew asked this to The First (as Jonathan) when it asked him to shoot the potentials in "First Date". Different kinds of kryptonite have different affects on Superman like weakening him or killing him. I was never big on "Superman" comics, the only ones I read for my comic phase was "X-Men".
9. Cordelia tells Xander "You must feel like Jimmy Olsen". What comic is Jimmy from?

Answer: Superman

Jimmy Olsen had no powers, he was "The Zeppo," which is why this comparison to Xander gave the episode that name.
10. This is a little different, but Joss Whedon had a stroke of genius (like that hasn't happened before) and wrote a comic book about a Slayer a few centuries in the future. What is it called?

Answer: Fray

"Fray" is about the first Slayer to be called on for centuries. A Slayer in the past (presumably Buffy) banished evil from the dimension, and a Slayer was called to help when it gets back in. Her watcher is a demon (the actual Watcher's Council is full of loonies), and Fray is given the red scythe that Buffy used in "Chosen". "Fray was written before the last episodes of Buffy, so Joss incorporated the Scythe into "Buffy" to tie it closer to "Fray".
