Character Profile: June Dorie Trivia Quiz

Answer: Laura

June refuses to reveal her name, so John decides to call her Laura, and she goes along with it. The title of the episode in which the audience sees the couple meet (in a flashback) is "Laura." Laura/June is played by actress Jenna Elfman.

Answer: Naomi

Naomi is the alias June goes by while living at Dell Diamond Baseball Stadium. When John calls her by this name, after finding her again, she finally tells him her real name is June. She reveals her name in season 4, episode 8, "No One's Gone."

June uses her skills during the apocalypse by serving as a nurse for the Dell Diamond Baseball Stadium camp. She also serves as a nurse for Morgan's group and for the Pioneers when she is taken by them and her group is split up. Finally, Victor employs her in that profession in his tower after the nuclear blast.

Answer: She joins the Vultures

June ends up joining the Vultures, who helped to destroy the stadium, until the group's leader is killed by Nick. Alicia regards this as an act of betrayal and attempts to shoot June when they meet again, but John steps in the way and ends up taking the bullet for her.

Despite all Virginia has done, June amputates the woman's hand when she is bitten instead of letting her die and turn. She also cauterizes the wound. This occurs in an episode titled, "Bury Her Next to Jasper's Leg." In return for saving Virginia's life, June requests Virginia establish a hospital. Prior to this, June had agreed to run away with John to his cabin, but she changes her mind when she knows she'll have the hospital.

She thinks she can do good work there. But the decision disillusions John who cannot bring himself to live under Virginia's rule.

He parts ways with June and returns to his cabin by the river.

One of the first personal things June (as Laura) tells John is that she had a daughter and lost her. In the episode "Just in Case," the audience learns how June lost Rose. The girl was sick and needed antibiotics, so June left her to find them. When she returned three days later, Rose had died, turned, and bitten others, starting a chain reaction that wiped out their entire camp.

Despite allowing Virginia to live, June later kills her. She blames Virginia for corrupting Dakota, who shot her husband John. Though Morgan, on one of his peace kicks, wants to keep Virginia alive, June kills her with the very gun John Dorie gave her and then puts on his hat. This occurs in season 6, episode 9, "Things Left to Do."

John Dorie, Sr. is trying to track down the Doomsday Cult. The cult's leader, Teddy, is a man he actually framed to get in prison years ago because he knew the man was guilty of serial killing, though he couldn't prove it. Being worshipped as a hero for catching the killer when he knew he'd framed him drove John to drink and abandon his family.

June and John Dorie, Sr. escape into Teddy's secret bunker, where they spend several days surviving on stored food supplies after the blast. They discover a secret room where the former serial killer tortured and embalmed his victims.

John is shot by Dakota and falls off a bridge. June runs to John when she sees he has washed up on shore. The scene mirrors the one in which John found June on his shore, except this time, there is no rescuing the victim. John is already dead. When June reaches him, he lifts his head and moves his mouth and hisses as a freshly turned walker. June eventually stabs him in the head.
