Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What does John tell Aeryn is a common human trait?

Answer: Optimism

John tells Aeryn his plan to intercept the freighter carrying Jothee before it reaches the Shadow Depository. Aeryn tells John, "Forever the optimist." John replies, "It's a common human trait... for humans with a death wish."
2. Who does John not recruit to help attack the Shadow Depository?

Answer: Staanz

Bekhesh is a Tavlek from "Throne for a Loss." Rorf is the Vorcairan blood tracker from "'Till the Blood Runs Clear." Teurac is a Sheyang from "PK Tech Girl." All three of these appear to help John and the others. Staanz was a former Zenetan pirate who helped D'Argo in "The Flax," and although the Zenetan pirates appear, Staanz does not.
3. Who leads the Zenetan pirates?

Answer: Durka

Kcrackic was the former leader of the Zenetan pirates before Durka got rid of him and organized the group. Zelkin takes over as leader of the pirates when Rygel helps Durka into early retirement when he kills him and cuts off his head. Kurz was first seen in "The Flax" and seems to serve as a flunky.
4. What is not one of the reasons that the mercenaries can't help?

Answer: Fear

Bekhesh has found religion and reformed his ways. Rorf's mate, Rorg, was about to give birth to their pups and stayed behind. And Teurac, the Sheyang, had been wounded and was unable to produce flame as his species can usually do.
5. John calls the Scorpius clone what in this episode?

Answer: Leatherface

John summons the Scorpius clone for a conversation for the first time in this episode, saying, "Okay, Leatherface, your turn." Leatherface is the horror icon from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." John uses Nosferatu in "Nerve" in season one, and debuted Clarence and Harvey in "Won't Get Fooled Again."
6. What part of John's memory, according to John, is filled with gibberish?

Answer: High school

The Scorpius clone tells John he's almost done finding the wormhole technology, saying, "...the task is almost complete. It wasn't easy; there are vast regions of your brain that are filled with nothing but gibberish." John replies, "That would be high school."
7. Who says, "It's easier to reform when you're rich?"

Answer: Bekhesh

Bekhesh has found religion and tells John he will not help him because he's not a killer and has reformed his ways. When John finds Bekhesh's gauntlet, the former mercenary tells John that he goes with the gauntlet. John says he thought he had reformed, and Bekhesh, deciding he wants the money, says the above line.
8. Moya is sabotaged by the Karack metalites, metal eating creatures that were disguised as the money the crew robbed from the Shadow Depository. How do Zhaan and the others get rid of the pests?

Answer: Adrexan vapor

Adrexan vapor is released into Moya in the section where the metalites have been corralled. Then electricity is used to ignite the volatile gas, burning the metalites... and Moya. Lutra oil and cronite mixed is highly explosive and used by the crew in "Family Ties" and the crystal resonator is suggested to kill the metalites by shattering them with sound.
9. Who does Jothee hate more?

Answer: Sebaceans and Luxans equally

Scorpius, assuming Jothee has a hatred for his father's race, asks Jothee, "Your father abandoned you to a life of slavery. Is it his lineage you hate the most?" Jothee answers, "My mother was murdered by her brother. Does that answer your question?" Scorpius is intrigued, saying, "So you... hate Luxans and Sebaceans equally? How very interesting." Scorpius, a half-breed like Jothee, has an intense hatred for Scarrans, who raped his Sebacean mother which led to Scorpius's birth.
10. How does this episode end?

Answer: John surrenders to Scorpius

John surrenders to Scorpy in exchange for Jothee. He tells Scorpius he can have the wormhole technology and that he wins. Scorpius smiles and says, "As if there was ever any doubt." D'Argo reunites with Jothee just before this scene, which is how he finds out John's sacrifice.
