Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who acts as the hostage negotiator in the siege that "Frontline" covers?

Answer: Mike

He is seen as a 'talking head', and is played by Rob Sitch. Rob is also the person who came up with the idea of "Frontline".
2. When Marty is at the scene of the siege, how far away is he actually?

Answer: 5 kilometers

The police will not let anybody go closer; they put up a barrier. Marty 'crouches down' to make it look as if it is a dangerous situation.
3. Brooke interviews Mrs who?

Answer: Forbes

These are all country towns in NSW, Australia. She is the mother of the hostage holder. Brooke asks 'Do you have any 9-volt batteries?' because they ran out and needed one, and then asks her to 'please cry again' so that they can record it this time.
4. What magazine does Mike manage to get himself on the cover of?

Answer: Time

He thinks his hostage negotiation skills must be the best in the business. This backfires when, at the end of the episode, another hostage taker calls and asks to speak to Mike, and then supposedly shoots his hostages and himself.
5. Who does this episode make fun of?

Answer: Mike Willesee

He negotiated a real-life hostage situation on "A Current Affair" once. Hope you enjoyed this quiz, as well as all the episodes in the "Frontline" series.
