Korakuen Hall is an actual arena that hosted many boxing and mixed martial arts matches. The others are actual arenas too, but they were not part of the series.

Saeki is a strong boxer known for his amazing speed. Ippo had a hard time catching up with his pace during their match, especially after one of Saeki's flicker jabs left one of his eyes swollen. Thinking Ippo would be a sitting duck after that, Saeki took advantage of the situation and tried to attack Makunochi's supposed blind spots. Unfortunately for him, Ippo managed to figure out where his next attack would be coming from after he was able to memorize his rhythm.
