Shikikami, Tsubaki's serpent, bit Kagome so the blood could be used to put the curse in place. Inuyasha slices the head off Shikikami, but the curse doesn't break. Shikikami was not completely killed. What destroys the curse is Kagome's ability to knock Tsubaki's demon back at her and purify the jewel.

Kagura brought up the subject of leaving him once, but Naraku held her heart in his hand and gave it a little squeeze, causing her to suffer. If he wanted to, he could have killed her, and uses that threat to keep her at his side. Even so, she still wishes to leave and defy Naraku so seeks out Sesshomaru for help because he has the power to sever the tie between her and Naraku.

Naraku creates another one of his incarnations. He kills and steals many things, but he is never fully satisfied. He reaches the outskirts of Kaede's village and decides that what he wants is there. While Inuyasha and the others fight him, Kagome comes running up, for she had just returned from her own time.

As soon as the incarnation sees Kagome, he knows that this is what/who he had been missing. But it wasn't Kagome herself - he had been seeing visions of Kikyo and Kagome's similarity caused him to decide it was her he needed.

Due to Onigumo's heart still beating within Naraku, he is unable to do anything to Kikyo because of Onigumo's love for her. Naraku expelled the heart and created Muso. Although he did separate the heart from his body, they are not completely disconnected. Naraku appears to Kikyo and reaches out to hurt her. He does manage to grab her around the neck, but that is all he is able to do.

Myoga tells Inuyasha he needs to kill Shiori, a half demon, so the Tetsusaiga can drink her blood and become stronger. After killing off the bat demons attacking the town, Shiori learns Inuyasha's real reason for being there. Instead of allowing him to kill her (which he wouldn't have done anyway), he gives her the crystal ball that she used to keep the barrier strong.

The spirit of Shiori's grandfather returns, but after Inuyasha takes care of him once more, the crystal ball turns white and its power is lost.

The Tetsusaiga turns red and he is able to break barriers with it.

Kagome is kidnapped by the panther demons and while Inuyasha is on his way to save her, Koga intercepts them. After learning that Kagome was taken by them, he rushes off to save her. They argue and fight for the lead the entire way over who gets to save her.

Naraku has Kagura kidnap Rin as a lure for Sesshomaru to come to him. Naraku tells Sesshomaru that if he kills Inuyasha, Rin will be returned to him unharmed. Sesshomaru turns it down. Not because he doesn't want Rin back, but because he does not allow himself to listen to the orders or threats of others.

Instead, he begins to fight Naraku. Naraku has a devious plot to absorb Sesshomaru's body into his own, thus absorbing his powers as well.

Answer: Kuranosuke

Kuranosuke Takeda is a prince who fell in love with Sango many years ago when her clan came to slay a demon. Now, with Inuyasha, Kagome, and Miroku, Sango returns to the palace and Kuranosuke proposes to her. She is stunned, but does not turn it down right away. Miroku simply wishes for Sango's happiness, but you can tell he is hurting.

Inuyasha's sword turns red after defeating the bat demons and their barrier. The red sword allows him to break barriers and during Sesshomaru's fight with Naraku, Inuyasha leaps in and slices through Naraku's barrier. Stunned, Naraku ends up fleeing from the fight and disappearing.
