Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Did Julia accept the lawyer Erica had procured on her behalf?

Answer: no

Erica got her a very talented lawyer but on the condition that she go for Sean's throat in the settlement. Julia said she didn't want "half of Sean's practice." Erica thought it unfair that Sean would become a "rich plastic surgeon" while Julia ended up "a total dependent." Erica wanted Julia to make Sean support her dreams for a change.
2. Who held Momma's hand during her surgery?

Answer: Christian

After Sean and Christian told her she may lose her legs if the infection was incurable, she seemed ready to break down, asking, "How am I supposed to get off this couch if I can't even walk?" Sean asked if she'd like to have her husband come in to hold her hand and help her through the surgery but she said "no, I don't want him to see me without my face on." Christian took off his gloves and mask and offered his own hand to Momma, which seemed to renew her strength a bit.
3. What were Momma's last words?

Answer: "I've done all I can do today."

She'd just finished telling Christian about her neat-freak tendencies. As she'd sat on her couch, she couldn't help but think of all the cleaning she needed to do, and she would always plan to get up the next day to do it. The next day would come, though, and she'd still be tired.

Then the nurse came in and signaled the doctors that the tissue sample they'd sent out had come back with poor results. Momma saw the look Sean and Christian exchanged and said simply, "I've done all I can do today." Sean, Christian, and Liz stepped aside to talk about their options and Momma looked around the room at the bloodied bandages, her overgrown toenails and oversized legs, and finally settled on something that seemed to soothe her. With a sigh, she relaxed a bit and had a heart attack. Sean and Christian ran to resuscitate her, but Liz stopped them, telling them that she'd signed the Do Not Resuscitate option on her consent form.
4. Who read the prayer at Momma's funeral?

Answer: her daughter

After the prayer, she spoke of how much she loved her mother and how Momma had sent her away, saying, "You were trapped under the weight of your own fear. And nothing was gonna save you. All you could do was find it in your heart to free me. And that you done. And I thank you for it." With that, she threw the first handful of dirt onto the casket and turned and walked away.
5. Denny paid for his wife's funeral.

Answer: false

Actually, Sean and Christian (or possibly just one of the doctors) paid for the funeral. After the service, Denny thanked them, telling them that he wouldn't have been able to afford it, especially since she had to be in a metal box that could hold her weight and would require three plots.

He summed it up saying, "What's a person with no money supposed to do? You gotta be rich just to die."
6. After Momma's funeral, did Christian agree to bringing Quentin into the practice?

Answer: yes

After Momma's funeral, he told Sean to bring Quentin in. He told him that he wasn't sure it was the right move but at least it was something. Christian clearly saw the parallel between himself and Momma, and also pointed out the one between Sean and Momma, urging Sean to let Julia go by signing the divorce papers.
7. What did Detective McGraw say was the only soft thing in Christian's apartment?

Answer: his bed

She told him that the investigation of crimes was really the "investigation of people" and from his surroundings judged him to be "tidy, hard, anal. The only thing in your home that's soft is your bed, which I imagine is the only place you feel comfortable being vulnerable, which makes the fact that he attacked you there all the more difficult to get over." McGraw then again challenged Christian to tell her the truth about the attack.
8. What did Detective McGraw tell Christian as her story of pain?

Answer: her husband's death

Christian demanded, "I want the one that did to you what the Carver did to me. You want my pain? Let me see yours." McGraw told him about her husband Jason and Christian asked if he'd hurt her. She said with little emotion, "No. Jason was a good man.

He stopped on his way home from work to pick us up a bottle of champagne for our half anniversary. When he got back to the car someone pulled a gun. The guy didn't have to shoot him, the car was a piece of [trash] '78 Volvo. Jason would've handed him the key and considered it a favor. I was at law school but dropped out and signed up for law enforcement, with an eagle eye on vice. I guess that I thought if I could spend my time working in the darkness, what happened to me would, by comparison, seem a little more light.

The real kick in the ass was that I already had a bottle of Dom chilling that night." After hearing all that, Christian allowed her to lead him into his bedroom to reenact the attack.
9. When Kimber walked in on Christian and Detective McGraw having sex, what did she do?

Answer: joined in

She was initially quite angry and yelled at Christian for his erratic behavior, but then he asked her to join in and she accepted, albeit a bit reluctantly at first.
10. Did Sean eventually sign the divorce papers?

Answer: yes

Julia showed up at his house and he apologized for having been so resistant to the idea of a divorce. He told her, "You deserve to fly; you deserve to live the life you've dreamed of. We both do. And we've tried and we've tried and we can't make each other happy, can we?" He gave her the signed papers and set his wedding ring on the kitchen counter as he walked out of the room.

Unfortunately, he'd missed the signs that Julia had actually come to talk about calling the divorce off! When Annie asked her if she was ready to go, Julia spoke more toward her feelings about leaving Sean: "No, Honey. I don't think I am."
