John Cleese says "And now for something completely different" at the start of each episode in the second series of 'Monty Python's Flying Circus'. It is also the title of the first 'Monty Python' film which was a collection of sketches from the TV show.

'The Spanish Inquisition' is one of the few episodes to feature Terry Gilliam on screen. Usually responsible for the animation sequences in 'Monty Python', in this episode he plays Cardinal Fang.
