Palmer's Tribute Trivia Quiz

Near the beginning of the episode, Jack and Erica were at Fusion when Erica got a phone call from Opal. This was when Opal broke the sad news to Erica that Palmer had died of a heart attack, as Erica informed Jack of what Opal told her. Jack and Erica left Fusion to go to Tad's house and comfort Opal.

Adam could not believe it when Brooke informed him that Palmer had passed away since he immediately said how he knew Palmer was off in Europe trying to find the man who swindled him. This was when Brooke told Adam that Palmer was actually in town and staying at the Valley Inn.

She said she heard Jake Martin found his body there but it was too late to save him. In the next scene, Jake told Angie how his father was Palmer's doctor for years but, because he was now retired, he asked Jake to treat Palmer.

While Jake and Angie were talking at the hospital, Daisy appeared and went up to Angie to give her a hug. Daisy told her she was at the Valley Inn and was supposed to meet Palmer there but then she heard he had died. Angie, then, reintroduced Daisy to Jake and informed her that he was the one who brought Palmer's body to the hospital.

When Krystal first appeared, she remarked how everyone in town was talking about Palmer's death. This was when Tad mentioned that he even got a call from "The New York Times" so they could get information from him to do a story on Palmer. Tad said how Palmer must have made quite an impact if a major newspaper like them wanted to write an article on his passing.

Krystal took another phone call and that is when Tad told Jack it seemed as if the phone rang off every ten minutes. Tad inquired to Jack about if Palmer left any details regarding what to do in the event of his death. Jack mentioned how Palmer preferred not to have a formal memorial service done, as he felt that was not his style.

While Daisy's first scene was at the hospital, she and Nina did not meet until midway into the episode and it was at the park. Daisy and Nina hugged and Nina said she could not believe that her father was gone. Nina also commented to Daisy that she was glad she and her mom met at the park first, as she was not ready at that moment to go to Tad's to pay tribute to Palmer.

Tad received something in the mail from Hayley and opened it up. Inside was some blooper footage that she had saved when she filmed Palmer's segment in honor of Pine Valley being chosen as the most genuine town in America. Tad popped open the video tape that had the blooper footage and it showed Palmer speaking highly of his Dobermans. Nina chimed in and said satirically that she felt Palmer loved those Dobermans more than her.

Adam recalled a funny moment when Palmer accidentally shot him and Palmer showed him the knife he would use to remove the bullet from Adam's body. This is when Krystal piped in and said how Palmer would not have made the best surgeon but he knew how to kiss a woman. The show gave us a flashback as to when Palmer kissed Krystal.

Near the end of the episode, Opal and Erica chatted about how they had such a great night with everyone sharing their favorite Palmer memories and were amazed at how many lives he touched. In the midst of their conversation, Opal informed Erica how Palmer would want her to get on with her life and to find her true love. Opal hinted that Erica's true love was right in the kitchen, meaning that Jack was Erica's true love and she felt it was time they got back together.

At the very end of the episode, many of the town's residents lit a candle in honor of Palmer and commented on how Palmer personally touched them. Viewers then saw a collage of vintage Palmer photos from years past, including pictures of Palmer with Bianca, Nina, Daisy, and Opal. In the final scene, Dixie appeared and welcomed her Uncle Palmer into Heaven.
