Answer: Gloria is overseeing an execution and Tim is unhappy

Tim and Gloria go on a few dates and things appear to be going well. At the same time, Governor Devlin has reinstated the death penalty, amidst much controversy. Tim invites Gloria to dinner, but she tells him she can't, as she is due to be the medical consultant at an execution. Tim is angry at this and at the fact that Gloria didn't tell him, and he becomes quite aggressive, effectively ending their relationship.

Answer: He is strangled

Cyril hides in the back seat of Preston's car. When Preston gets into the driver's seat, Cyril reaches around and strangles him with a cord. Cyril later states that he had to make sure he didn't look into Preston's eyes, or he wouldn't have been able to go through with the murder.

Answer: Miguel Alvarez

Weigert are brought in after Governor Devlin arranges to privatise the prison medical system. A new administrator, Dr Garvey, is brought in and the medical staff are warned that their jobs may be unsafe. Gloria fiercely fights the decision to cut Miguel's medication, but she is refused.

When Miguel then attempts suicide, Gloria is fired. She goes to the press and offers to tell all, but is stopped by Governor Devlin, who offers to give her job back, loosen the purse strings and remove the Dr Garvey.

He also placates the press by telling them the newly discovered scandal that Dr Garvey had once worked as a back-alley abortionist.

Answer: The fact that she is young

Dr Nathan is fed up of the fact that prisoners continually call out, "Hey, nurse!" to her, even though they regularly hear her referred to as Dr Nathan. She says to Sister Pete, "I don't know if it's because I'm a woman, or a Latina, or maybe I'm just too god damned nice".

Answer: Patrick Keenan

Dr Nathan is raped by Keenan whilst on her way into her apartment. As Keenan is Irish, she initially blames Ryan O'Reilly for arranging the rape and he tells her that this is correct in order to help her heal, but he actually had nothing to do with it. When Keenan is brought to Oz, Ryan makes friends with him, before killing him with a dumbbell in the gym.

Answer: Fred Wick

Gloria heads Oswald's trials of an experimental drug which would allow the inmates to age significantly, instead of serving a full sentence. Her inclusion of the O'Reilly brothers in the trial creates a rift between herself and Tim McManus. Of all the inmates involved, Cyril is the only one who seems to exhibit signs of aging, most noticeably with his hair turning grey. Fred Wick was a biker and a friend of Jaz Hoyt.

He tells Jaz that he is feeling no ill effects, then suddenly just collapses dead.

The program is halted, and Gloria is sued for malpractice.

Answer: Dave Brass

Officer Brass has a severe grudge against Carlos Martinez, after Martinez cut Dave's Achilles tendon. He knows that Martinez was working on the orders of someone else but can't get the information out of him. When Martinez is in the hospital suffering from liver damage, Dave interrupts Gloria while she is examining him and makes the comment that they suit each other.

Answer: Carlos Martinez

Carlos is beaten by the COs before he is taken to solitary confinement. When Gloria is brought in to examine him, he touches her face and attempts to touch her chest, even after she asks him to stop. This triggers a flashback of Gloria's rape and she loses control, and starts beating the already injured prisoner.

Answer: Chucky Pancamo

Pancamo is stabbed by Robson and sustains a non-lethal wound. Whilst in the hospital, his wound gets infected and he develops a fever. Gloria is concerned that he will die and she blames herself for not preventing the infection. At one point, she turns down McManus' offer of a drink so that she can work late and keep an eye on Pancamo, who eventually makes a full recovery.

Answer: Gym

Ryan heads to the gym to walk around McManus' maze in an attempt to distract himself. Gloria finds him and finally, after years of emotional drama, she kisses him. Ryan, of course, kisses her back.
