After Angel reminds Connor to take the slippers, as her feet get cold, he replies;

"I know. She's always stealing the covers." One of the first implications that Connor and Cordelia are becoming very close.

Whilst Fred is speaking a giant portal opens above her and a great snake-like creature comes out, wrapping Fred in its body. Fred later freaks as portals still scare her after her five years in Lorne's dimension.
