Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Sam and Dean met up with Ash, in Heaven, in "Dark Side of the Moon". Did Ash know that Ellen and Jo had died?

Answer: No

The men were on the run from Zachariah, and Ash led them into an alternate Heaven. He explained to the brothers that there were many heavens, all rolled together like Disney Land. Sam and Dean rested from the chase inside a bar very similar to the roadhouse where they'd first met Ash, and he told them that this was his heaven.

It would offer sanctuary for a time, while the pursuing angels caught up. Ash said he'd seen Andre the Giant and Johnny Cash's heavens, but hadn't been able to find John and Mary Winchester yet. That is when he found out about Jo and Ellen, and that they'd gone down fighting.

Then he revealed to Sam and Dean that he had found Pamela Barnes. Chad Lindberg reprised his role as Ash and Traci Dinwiddie reprised hers as Pamela Barnes.
2. Delivered to them by an angel named Joshua, what was God's message to Sam and Dean at the end of "Dark Side of the Moon"?

Answer: "Back off."

Joshua reported that God already knew everything that they wanted to tell him. God's message was "back off". Joshua confirmed that God was somewhere on Earth, but he did not know where. He also told the men that God was not going to intervene in the Apocalypse. Ash had earlier admitted that he'd seen Sam and Dean in Heaven before this occasion, but they must have had their memories of it wiped away. So, Joshua said that this time God wanted them both to remember their trip to Heaven, and they did. Roger Aaron Brown played the angel Joshua.
3. "99 Problems"- A false prophet led the town of Blue Earth down the path of self-destruction. Who killed it?

Answer: Dean

The being was in the guise of the local preacher's daughter, Leah. At first, the Winchesters believed only the preacher, Gideon, could stake the false prophet. A true instrument of God was needed, and neither Winchester felt that applied to them. But, in the end Dean realized it was up to him to do it and it worked! When it worked, in that moment, Dean probably decided to hand his body over to Michael.

The stake was made of cypress wood from Babylon and brought to the cause by Castiel.
4. In the series' 100th episode, "Point of No Return", which long lost family member was brought back to life by the angels?

Answer: Adam- Sam and Dean's brother

Just when Zachariah thought he was toast, someone charged him with using Adam to lure Dean back into the beautiful room. The room could hold Dean and then he could be tormented into accepting Michael. All three Winchesters were trapped in that room, and once inside Dean killed Zachariah.

Unfortunately, Dean could only get Sam out of the room before Adam was taken away by some unknown force. It could have been Michael or Lucifer, or perhaps even God. Adam' last name is actually Milligan, but he is a Winchester by blood.
5. "Hammer of the Gods"- Archangel Gabriel left Sam and Dean a message, via a "home" video, about how to find the "keys to the cage".

Answer: True

Sam and Dean had been led into their own kidnapping by several worried gods. They wanted to use the men as pawns to stop Lucifer. Gabriel, also known once as the Trickster, came to try and save the Winchesters. In the end, he died at the hands of his brother Lucifer, who claimed to have taught Gabriel all of his tricks. Before his death, Gabriel handed over the "porn" for sake keeping.

The men watched the DVD on their laptop afterward and on it Gabriel told them to seek out the four rings from the Four Horsemen.

They already had two, so now the men had to seek out Death and Pestilence for their rings. Together the rings formed the key to unlocking the cage that could once again trap Lucifer.
6. In the penultimate episode, "Two Minutes to Midnight", who gave Bobby back the use of his legs?

Answer: Crowley

Crowley offered Bobby a Crossroads deal- his soul to be borrowed in exchange for the location of the horseman called Death. Bobby agreed, much to the horror and shock of Sam and Dean. As they were readying to leave for Chicago, Crowley told Bobby that he hadn't asked for enough of an exchange. So, Crowley himself had secretly added the part about restoring Bobby the use of his legs. Bobby was now able to be back, right in the thick of the fight. Crowley wanted Bobby's soul to ensure that no one killed him during the fight.
7. How did Dean get Death's ring in "Two Minutes to Midnight"?

Answer: Death handed it over to him

Death was the ultimate horseman. He told Dean he was older and more powerful than Lucifer, but sadly bound to a brat throwing a temper tantrum. Death told Dean that he wanted Lucifer stopped, and would simply hand over his ring to Dean. Dean had to agree to not interfere when Sam said "yes" to Lucifer and then would attempt to walk the angel into his cage. Dean reluctantly agreed, but later admitted he'd lied to Death. Julian Richings played Death.

At this point Castiel had returned as completely human and could offer no supernatural aid to the fight. The ring was cut from the fingers of both Famine and Pestilence.
8. All of these people were presumed dead, but then shown as alive again afterward in the finale, "Swan Song". Pick the one person who was not shown as dead at any time during that final fight.

Answer: Dean

After Sam said "yes" to Lucifer and Dean opened the first portal, Lucifer closed it before he could be walked in by Sam. But, after Dean, Bobby and Cas tracked Lucifer to a cemetery just outside of Lawrenceville, Kansas they had a second confrontation. Dean was the only one not presumed dead, at some point in that fight. Lucifer killed Castiel first, then Bobby, and Sam killed himself alongside Lucifer and Michael.
9. In the final battle with Lucifer, what object saved the world?

Answer: the Impala

An narrated by Chuck the Prophet (aka as Carver Edlund) in the finale, the Impala was the most important car in the whole universe.

Chuck: "On April 21, 1967, the 100 millionth GM vehicle rolled off the line at the plant in Janesville--a blue two-door Caprice. There was a big ceremony, speeches, the lieutenant governor even showed up. Three days later, another car rolled off that same line. No one gave two craps about her. But they should have. because that 1967 Chevrolet Impala would turn out to be the most important car--no, the most important object--in pretty much the whole universe."

It was the car, and all the memories Sam had tied to it, that allowed Sam to take control over Lucifer. He opened the portal to Lucifer's cage, and began walking him to it. Michael arrived, after having been sent away with holy fire by Cas, and tried to stop it from happening. Instead, Michael (in Adam's body) got close enough for Sam to yank him down into the hole as well.
10. In the first last scene of "Swan Song", who did we see looking in on Dean, Lisa and her son?

Answer: Sam

Before the battle with Lucifer at Hull Cemetery, Dean promised Sam two things. He promised to return to Lisa and attempt a normal life with her, and he also promised not to try and save Sam from Hell. After the battle, Dean was surprised to find Castiel back, alive, in full angel power.

He healed Dean of all his battle wounds, and then brought Bobby back to life. Bobby and Dean said goodbye outside of Bobby's place, and Chuck narrated that they would not see each other for a long time after this parting.

He went to narrate that Dean only wanted two things, to die or try and save Sam. He would do neither, since he'd made Sam a promise to return to Lisa. He did return to Lisa, and as the season ended- a street light outside her home burned out. Standing underneath, in the shadows, was Sam...
