Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the song "Lydia the Tattooed Lady", what kind of animal acted the part of Lydia?

Answer: Pig

The Pig never said a word but just danced right beside Kermit who was singing the song. She made at least one other appearance when Fozzie inadvertently insulted a pig in one of his songs.
2. Miss Piggy had many songs sung to her by many famous male singers. What years gone past famous vocal artist sang "Oh my little sweet pork chop, my little ham hock, you're the woman"?

Answer: Lou Rawls

On the show that he guest-starred on, he offered Animal a gig as a drummer on one of his tours. Animal ruined his chances when he dragged Lou all over the neighborhood trying to chase cars.
3. When Connie Stevens sang "Teenager In Love", who was the group that sang with her?

Answer: The Mutations

Before she went on stage, the act "Wayne and Wanda" almost took her spot and went on to perform, but when they noticed her, they quickly backed down.
4. Kermit's self-proclaimed sweetheart was Miss Piggy. However, he had sung a song called "I've Been Nothing But A Liar All My Life" with who?

Answer: Miss Mousie

This little duet caused nothing but turmoil for the entire episode. Miss Piggy even forced Statler and Waldorf to boo and hiss Miss Mousie. Miss Piggy said, "Bernadette Peters you can like. It's the mouse you gotta hate!"
5. Miss Piggy normally was excited to be singing on stage with the latest singing sensations of the times, However there was one male performer that she had an on-stage disagreement with. Who was it?

Answer: Danny Kaye

The argument started when Danny and Miss Piggy were practicing in the canteen downstairs of the Muppet Theater. Danny had the misfortune of saying that Miss Piggy had sung the song they were about to sing years ago when she was "thin". It was not a very pretty scene.
6. When Ethel Merman came on the show, there was a throng of Muppets that wished to sing with her. The first song she sang was a medley of her hits. Question is: How many voices sang with her?"

Answer: Eight

In order, they were: (1) Kermit, (2) Fozzie, (3) Scooter, (4) Gonzo, (5) (6) Two-headed monster, (7) Uncle Deadly, and (8) Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy managed to outdo her at singing high notes, at least until Ethel Merman shattered a glass that Miss Piggy was holding at the time.
7. When Rowlf introduced the popular classic "You and I and George", how did Rowlf's mom react when Rowlf sang the song?

Answer: She turned down her hearing aid.

Not a very nice mother, but you gotta admit the song did lack in substance.
8. Rudolf Nureyev guest starred on "The Muppet Show" and performed a satire of ballet. What was it called on the show?

Answer: Swine Lake

Sam the American Eagle thought that Rudolf Nureyev was an opera singer, but he didn't recognize him and threw him out into the alley. Luckily, Kermit went out to find him and brought him back onto the show.
9. In Sandy Duncan's interpretation of "What's A Nice Boy Like Me", what was she drinking?

Answer: Whiskey Sours

The song was changed to "What's A Nice Girl Like Me" so it would fit her better.
10. Who did Joel Gray sing the song "Razzle Dazzle" to?

Answer: Gonzo

Gonzo tried to demolish a vintage automobile to the melody of "The Anvil Chorus" and then he was going to eat the crankcase acapella. However, he was booed before he could really start and Joel came out to give Gonzo some pointers.
