In the "Pilot", it was revealed that Jeremy and Vicki had spent the summer together and he still had a major crush on her. Vicki was embarrassed and was seeking a relationship with Tyler Lockwood, who showed her little respect.

Stefan then noticed that Vicki could not resist temptation, and she was feeding on Logan's blood, which in turn completed her transition.
