Dinah and her client popped the heart into a blender, mixed in some toenails, and pureed the mixture to force-feed to the woman's husband.

By the end of the feeding, Dinah was done; the husband would wake up without any knowledge of what had happened and he would no longer be interested in other women. As Dinah went to leave, she was approached at her car by none other than Cordelia Goode who, seeking an audience with Papa Legba, needed Dinah, the new queen of voodoo, to accomplish her goal. Dinah would only do it for $100,000 cash.

Actress Bubbles McGee, meanwhile, was filming the Christmas horror film 'A Night to Dismember' when Madison approached her between scenes. Bubbles, able to read minds of those around her, left the coven to pursue acting when Madison was brought to New Orleans during the reign of Fiona Goode, and at that time Bubbles turned her attention to a craft she was more interested in pursuing.

Unfortunately, Bubbles needed to go with Madison-- all hands on deck. She was summoned. That night, Bubbles went to dinner with Madison and Myrtle, and there it was revealed (to Madison) that Bubbles possessed Lectio Animo, the power to listen to someone's very soul.

Myrtle and Madison laid it out for Bubbles-- they needed her power to infiltrate Ariel Augustus' mind and determine what they had in store for Michael as the new Supreme. With the knowledge of Michael's power, they feared that they would be on the path to annihilation if they let things get out of hand. Bubbles agreed.
Dinah, meanwhile, ended up at Miss Robichaux's Academy for the ritual with Cordelia and after a quick warning to the soon-to-be-former Supreme, Dinah made the offerings necessary to summon the voodoo devil before them-- fine rum and a Cuban cigar. And he showed up.

Papa Legba's arrival sparked a short conversation between the voodoo devil and Dinah, but the attention soon shifted to Cordelia who, to Legba, was an intriguing subject. Papa Legba already knew about Michael Langdon, but he was not sure what to do about him since it put even him at great risk. Cordelia asked that he open the gates so that Michael could be tricked inside and spend his days roaming the underworld, but such a request would require a great sacrifice to make it worth Papa Legba's while. Last time such a request was offered, the sacrifice, as he revealed, was Nan, who also appeared for the meeting.

As it turned out, she leaned in to Papa Legba's teachings and became his finest acolyte. The offer Legba gave to Cordelia was harsh though; she could give up all of her girls to save the world.

Unfortunately, Cordelia couldn't accept that offer, and so he left.

At Miss Robichaux's Academy, Zoe and Queenie, sitting for breakfast with Mallory, discussed the potential for Michael's coming reign. They were interrupted though, since Coco discovered she had a new power-- the ability to determine how many calories were in any given item of food.

She proved her abilities for the others repeatedly before indulging herself on a snack, but in eating the treat she started to choke, dying before the other girls. Before Zoe and Queenie could do anything, Mallory sunk to her knees and healed her, reaching into Coco's neck and removing the unchewed food before sealing Coco back up and reviving her. Zoe claimed she'd never seen anything like it...or even heard of a spell for what she did.

Cordelia began to feel weaker at this time, losing her powers quicker than she anticipated. Confiding in Zoe, she claimed that Michael would destroy them all, and she couldn't even fight in her condition. Zoe believed that perhaps one of their own would be ready and, in fact, maybe one of their own could be ascending. At the Hawthorne School, Myrtle played the theremin in the music room until she and Bubbles were met by the warlocks present. Under the guise of burying the hatchet and acting as good examples to unite the covens, Myrtle and Bubbles presented a delicious dinner, and there, Bubbles used her powers to discover that the only thing on Ariel's mind was the fact that no one was really asking questions about John Henry, who Miriam Mead burnt up weeks ago.

They also meant to murder all of the witches. They would need to bring the news back to Cordelia.

At dinner back at Miss Robichaux's, Mallory felt bad that if she needed to ascend, then Cordelia would need to die. Cordelia, however, assured her that there were still more tests to pass, and she would not be dead yet. But it was still always the way of the coven, and that would be fine too. Over the meal, Behold chastised the witches for celebrating in such dire times.

Many would die if they didn't act. Cordelia assured her that they would, but since it could be the last time they were all together, they needed to have a good time, especially since she knew the challenges they were facing for quite a while, and it forced her to do something she never thought she'd be willing to do.

Two years before the apocalypse, Cordelia performed a ritual in the academy, drawing her own blood and setting it over an open flame to summon Myrtle before her. Myrtle, angry with Cordelia for bringing her back from beyond the grave, only came to realize the dire circumstances when Cordelia admitted to not knowing how to protect her girls from the coming storm. If she didn't need to reach out, she never would have.

She had to do everything in her power to prepare them all, and with their union, they could fire the first shot against their foe. The witches headed out to the gas station where John Henry was killed and Zoe pulled the warlock's ashes together with the wind. Mallory, using her powers, completed the seventh wonder by reviving him from the ashes.

John Henry was brought back to Miss Robichaux's Academy to divulge the information he knew before Cordelia, Myrtle, and Behold. They informed him that the other warlocks were conspiring against him, but he admits he was killed by a woman.
Soon after, Cordelia started the next phase of her plan, first speaking to Coco alone and asking her to help the coven by helping deal with the traitor working with Michael. Coco, initially hesitant and claiming herself to be nothing more than a walking nutrition label, was surprised by the request, but she vowed to do her part.
Coco found Miriam at the butcher's shop and knocked on her car window. Miriam, quietly, ended up shooting Coco in the chest with a tranquilizer, but Cordelia's goons got Miriam into the back of a van anyways. Mission accomplished.

At the Hawkins Academy, Ariel and Baldwin laughed over Baldwin's new creation-- a deadly powder that would kill women within seconds if inhaled. Their plan would simply be to waltz into Miss Robichaux's Academy and spread it around. Fortunately, Cordelia and Myrtle arrived before they could even leave the Academy, immediately destroying the powder and dealing their mouths to stop them from talking.
Miriam Mead, Ariel Augustus, and Baldwin Pennypacker were brought to their stakes the following day, sentenced to death by fire for the murder of John Henry and attempted treason. In keeping in line with tradition, John Henry would light the fire.
Miriam Mead smiled as she burned.
