Altair Ibn La Ahad is an Assassin who lived in medieval times. He was raised in Masyaf and lived an honorable and respectful life. Although he might act rashly and arrogantly, he is a man who can get the job done. Altair is a well respected yet feared high ranked Assassin.

Al Mualim is the leader of every Assassin living in Masyaf. He is an old man, yet he is very wise, and possesses many skills. He does happen to have a few secrets you won't find out about until the end of the game.

The hidden blade was a secretive blade which was activated by either a ring on a finger or a small button in the hand. The hidden blade was eventually modified by Altair which was revealed in "Assassin's Creed II" by his very own memoirs called Codex Pages.
