1. What is your character's full name?

Answer: Cloud Strife

In the Instruction Booklet it says Cloud's last name is Strife. Cloud is an ex-SOLDIER from Shinra and is now a mercenary who will take on any job as long as he gets money.

2. Who is Barret Wallace?

Answer: Leader of AVALANCHE

Barret is the leader of the group he founded, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE is an anti-Shinra group and Barret hates the Shinra for what they did to him. The President of Shinra doesn't have a name and the closest thing to a Mayor is Don Corneo.

3. What is Cloud's default sword?

Answer: Buster

The Buster Sword is famous for Cloud using it. You obtain the Butterfly Sword later in the game near Mount Nibel. The Gatling Gun is Barret's default weapon and there is no Edge sword. You cannot sell Barret or Cloud's default weapon, no matter what.

4. Who is the President of Shinra's son?

Answer: Rufus

Rufus is the red-haired, coat-wearing son of the late President of Shinra. Palmer is a worker for Shinra and so is Heidegger. Reeve is a low-level worker.

5. What group/faction does Reno belong too?

Answer: Turks

Rude is the bodyguard of Reno, another Turk member. Tseng is the leader and another Turk is Elena. You fight Reno at the top of a Mako reactor and then later you fight Reno and Rude together, at Mount Corel.

6. Who do you get the "buggy" from?

Answer: Dio

Dio, the owner of the Gold Saucer, gives you the buggy after you were wrongfully accused by him of killing a bunch of Saucer workers. The buggy can run over shallow light blue water and is a faster mode of transportation.

7. What is Cid's profession?

Answer: Pilot

Cid Highwind is a pilot who was supposed to be the first man in space in Shinra rocket #26. He was about to take off when he realised that Shera, a mechanic was still underneath the shuttle, so he did the right thing and stopped ignition, effectively ruining his career.

8. What other vehicle, besides the "buggy," can you manuever?

Answer: Plane

Cid's plane, the "Tiny Bronco," is a small, rusty plane that gets shot down when you try to escape Rocket Town from Rufus and Palmer. After that, you can only slide it over shallow water and it can't go on land.

9. Who is Cait Sith?

Answer: A cat

Cait Sith is actually a Shinra Executive but he took the body of a cat to spy on Cloud's group. Cait rides on a stuffed Mog he brought to life and uses a megaphone and magic in battle.

10. Who, besides Barret, has a gun molded into their arm?

Answer: Dyne

Dyne, Barret's former buddy, got his arm shot and it was disabled so he decided to get a gun molded into it. He is the "boss" of the Corel Prison and he lives in the junkyard, he is the dad of Marlene.
