Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The ruins of what Haven City building in "Jak II" became an entrance to the Catacombs in "Jak 3"?

Answer: Palace

The player must walk through the Stadium Ruins in order to get to the Palace Ruins. The ruins are infested with Metal Heads, so Jak uses the War Beacon that Damas gave to him. Damas, driving the Slam Dozer, arrives just in time, when the Dark Makers are overpowering Jak and Daxter.

The Monk Temple is located in the desert, and the Fortress is not explored at all in "Jak 3".
2. In "Jak 3", when does Jak get his third War Amulet?

Answer: After saving Spargus from a wave of Dark Makers

Jak would have gotten the War Amulet after the third arena battle, but in order to win that, Jak would have had to kill his old friend, Sig. Since they won't kill each other, Damas does not award Jak his War Amulet, and as punishment, Jak and Sig must destroy Metal Head Eggs in the Nest.
Jak does not get his Third War Amulet (and Chest Armor) until much later in the game, when Jak uses the turret to shoot off a wave of Dark Makers.
The Third War Amulet also gives Jak the power to call for help from the Wastelanders.
3. In "Jak II", what must Jak do in order to gain membership to the Underground?

Answer: Steal Baron Praxis' banner from the top of the tower in Dead Town

The Underground is an organization that was out to destroy Baron Praxis. Kor directed Jak to sign up, because he saw that Jak was powerful and could destroy the Baron.
4. How many people went through the Rift Gate at the end of "Jak II"?

Answer: Two

Only two people went through the Rift gate, to Sandover Village. There was only the kid (Young Jak) and the younger Samos. Samos would raise Jak in Sandover Village until he is old enough to defeat Metal Kor.
5. The eastern part of Haven City is mostly destroyed in "Jak 3".

Answer: False

The eastern part is not destroyed or in ruins. The western and middle parts of the city; however, are in complete ruin.
6. The leader of the Underground went on to be the Sage of what Eco?

Answer: Green Eco

The Shadow, AKA Samos, was the leader of the underground. The Life Seed gave him the power to talk to plants and become the Green Sage. He then went through the Rift Gate with Young Jak to Sandover Village.
7. In "Jak II", the prize for winning the City Races is a years supply of Eco and what?

Answer: A tour of the Palace

Jak planned to get into the palace to attack the Baron since very early in the game. When he heard about the City Races and the prize, he signed up.
8. Metal Heads are generally larger in the Wasteland than the areas surrounding Haven City.

Answer: True

Yes, Metal Heads are much larger and much harder to kill in the Wasteland and they cannot be killed by normal guns. They're only defeated by guns attached to the off-road vehicles.
9. What do Oracles do for you in "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy"?

Answer: Give you a Power Cell for 120 Precursor Orbs

In "Jak II", the Oracle is located in a building in the Water Slums, and grants you Dark Powers for Metal Head Skulls. In "Jak 3", they are both in the Monk Temple, back to back, giving Light Jak Powers.
10. What was the one thing Jak remembered from his early childhood?

Answer: The Light

The Light was the flash as Samos and Jak went through the Rift Gate into Sandover Village. Older Samos said that he wouldn't remember anything, but Jak says that he still remembers the Light.
