Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the host of "Mario Party 9"?

Answer: Yellow Toad

Toad is sometimes the host of the series, but since he is a playable character in this installment, Yellow Toad is the host instead. Green Toad is there for one segment when your adventure is almost over.
2. What feature did "Mario Party 7" have that no other entry in the series had?

Answer: Eight players

3. Which of these objects were not used at items?

Answer: ? Blocks

Orbs were featured in "Mario Party 6", Candy was in "Mario Party 8", and capsules were in "Mario Party 5". ? Blocks were never used to hold items in the series.
4. Which character was playable until after "Mario Party 4"?

Answer: Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong was playable in "Mario Party 1, 2, 3, and 4". After that, he was an NPC and had his own space on the board. A DK space usually involves you competing against him in a minigame, or him giving you something good.
5. Is the Nunchuck accessory ever used in "Mario Party 8"?

Answer: Yes

If you go to extra mode, there are a couple of exclusive minigames that involve the Nunchuck. You can also play as your Mii here.
6. In the story mode of most "Mario Party" games, what is usually the primary objective?

Answer: Become the superstar

Most "Mario Party" games have a story mode where the character you choose is trying to become the superstar to either defeat Bowser, or show how strong he/she is. Usually the character is greatly rewarded at the end with some kind of present.
7. What do Ztars do?

Answer: Take away your stars

Ztars were introduced in "Mario Party 4" and they take your star count off by 1. They sometimes reappear in the series like in "Mario Party 6".
8. Which game features the stage DK's Jungle Ruins?

Answer: "Mario Party 9"

Dk's Jungle Ruins is a secret stage in the game. You buy it using the party points you earn while playing. Instead of collecting mini stars, you collect bananas.
9. The 0-1 dice block is an existing dice block in the series.

Answer: True

"Mario Party 9" introduced some new dice blocks and one was the 0-1 dice block. This lets you roll one space or no spaces at all.
10. The Mega Mushroom was used as an item.

Answer: True

In "Mario Party 4", the player could use a Mega Mushroom to roll two dice blocks, and steal 10 coins from whoever they pass by. This Mega Mushroom looked very different from the one in "New Super Mario Bros." because it looked just like a 1-Up mushroom in "Mario Party 4".
