Answer: Amon Tillado

Amon Tillado was the leader of a cult that tried to summon The Dark One into Gloriana. They did this because The Dark One promised them their every desire. They nearly succeeded. What stopped them was an army led by Piotyr and Erana. When the cult members saw Piotyr and Erana, they changed their forms and ran off. Erana sacrificed herself to prevent The Dark One from fully entering Gloriana. Piotyr came back to town with Erana's Staff and told everyone Erana was dead. Amon then ran off and told the cult where to place each of the rituals.

He kept a record of where each ritual was meant to be kept. What you have to keep in mind though, is that the cult was here decades before the hero. Hence, some of the rituals aren't where the diary says they are.

Answer: Avoozl

You learn this in the monastery. You can also learn this from the gypsies. You need to know it to get the sense ritual.

Answer: In the Mad Monk's Tombstone

The bone ritual was to be placed in Amon Tillado's tombstone and forever guarded by followers. The mad monk's tombstone is in the swamp. If you enter the swamp, no matter what direction you go in, you'll eventually end up at the mad monk's tombstone. There is dark magic in Mordavia that causes all paths in the swamp to lead to the mad monk's tombstone.

Answer: Chernovy

You learn in the book that came with the game that the Chernovies are followers of The Dark One. They used to be human, but when Piotyr and Erana interefered with their summoning of Avoozl, all the members of the cult turned themselves into monsters. Most of them turned themselves into Chernovies. One important member of the cult remained in the cave and turned himself into a different kind of monster (as far as I know the game never actually has a word for the monster in the cave. You learn who he WAS, but I'm not sure what exactly he is when the hero meets him). Two Chernovies can be found defending the bone ritual in the swamp, but additional Chernovies can be found in the forest at night.

Answer: Magically concealed in the monastery

In order to get the blood ritual, you have to go to the basement of the monastery and drink from the cask. When you do so, John Rhys-Davies will say it's the strongest stuff you've ever tasted, assuming you're not a fan of Dragon's Breath. You obviously aren't a fan of Dragon's Breath or you'd be dead. Anyway, the drink knocks the hero unconscious and it makes him see a vision of Avoozl rising out from the top of a mountain.

The hero will wake up, glad it was only a dream, and he'll have the blood ritual. Of course it's only a dream only the first time you see it. If you see it again, game over.

Answer: With Baba Yaga

According to Amon Tillado, the breath ritual was supposed to be in the hangman's tree. However, when the hero comes to Mordavia and searches the hangman's tree, it's no longer there. The hero learns from the gypsies that Baba Yaga has it. So the hero must get some more food for Baba Yaga to get the ritual.

Answer: In the Stone of Squids

The Sense Ritual was placed in the Stone of Squids and revealed only by the light of a dead child's soul. The hero learns from the gypsies and the Rusalka that will o' wisps are the spirits of dead children. He also learns from Olga that kids lover her candy. So the hero uses candy to lure the will o wisps into a flask, and their light makes it possible to get the sense ritual.

The hero can release them in the daytime or keep them. If he keeps them, they will be destroyed and he will lose honor.

Answer: Katrina has it

According to Amon Tillado, the mouth ritual was supposed to be under the Dark One's sign. However, when the hero picked up the Dark One's sign, the ritual wasn't there. That's because Katrina used it to get the hero out of the cave at the beginning of the game. That is why Katrina is the first person the hero met in Mordavia.

Answer: Leshy

Amon Tillado said the heart ritual was supposed to be given to Gregor. However, when Gregor died, not many people knew what happened to the ritual. Only the Leshy knew. The hero has to answer the Leshy's riddles and do a task for the Leshy. In return, the Leshy will tell you where the heart ritual is. For most character classes, the heart ritual will be with the boss wraith.

The wizard will have to battle some fairies to get it.

Answer: With the last Borgov of Mordavia

All throughout the game, the hero learns about the Borgovs who used to rule Mordavia from their castle. People tell him that nobody knows what happened to the last Borgov. The gypsies tell him that all they know about the last Borgov is that his son ran off in terror.

At the end of the game the hero learns that the tentacled monster in the pit was the last Borgov. Like the other cult members, the last Borgov changed his form when Piotyr and Erana showed up to stop the cult.

Answer: Bone

Only the thief can die in the bone chamber. The thief need to flip out of the cage before the bones close or they will crush him. The other classes let the bones close and then find a way out of the cage.

Answer: Katrina

Katrina had originally planned to pretend to be in love with the hero so she could make him happy to get the rituals for her. In the process of doing this, Katrina fell in love with the hero. So when Ad Avis threatened the hero, Katrina attacked him. Ad Avis and Katrina then engage in a duel.

The duel is a stalemate, so then Ad Avis casts a spell at the hero, Katrina jumps in front of the hero to protect him from the spell, but then Avoozl kills her.

Answer: The Ultimate Joke

The hero learns the Ultimate Joke from Punny Bones. Punny Bones tells the hero to use it on a REALLY bad person and then get away while he's laughing. The hero uses it to distract Ad Avis while he throws Erana's Staff at him.

Answer: Erasmus

Once you win the game, they have an awards ceremony for the hero in the castle. Erasmus uses a crystal ball to see the hero in the castle and then he magically summons him away from the ceremony. That's not the way I would have handled it if I were Erasmus (at east give the townspeople fair warning before you do that!).

It's never made clear how the hero or the townspeople felt about that at first. The hero tells Dr. Cranium that he wanted to go to Silmaria, but he probably didn't mean that he wanted to be summoned there in the middle of in awards ceremony for him.

Answer: Aubrey Hodges

Aubrey Hodges did an absolutely amazing job with the soundtrack for this game! The "Quest For Glory 4" soundtrack rivals the "Gabriel Knight" soundtrack for best video game soundtrack of all time in my opinion. Highlight include the music you hear at the main menu when you start the game, the Erana's Garden theme, the chasing theme, each of the battle themes, the monastery theme, the gypsies theme, and the battle with the fairies.

Robert Holmes did the "Gabriel Knight" soundtrack. Mark Seibert did soundtracks for many Sierra games including "King's Quest 5," "Police Quest 2," and "Quest For Glory 1." Thomas Chance did the soundtrack for "Quest For Glory 5." They all did great jobs with their games too.
