1. You play as a miner on Mars who's had it up to here with Ultor, and are about to be allowed into Red Faction, the leaders of the rebellion. What is your name?

Answer: Parker

Eos is the leader of Red Faction, and her, Orion, and Hendrix will send you messages frequently. Eos started Red Faction after her mom died "for no reason- just the planet's bad atmosphere".

2. How many levels are there?

Answer: Nineteen

Within the nineteen levels, there are anywhere from one to three stages within a level. On the final level, you have to defeat Col. Masako, after which it shows a cut-scene showing you freeing Eos and defusing the bomb that Masako set off.

3. What happens to people who get "the plague"?

Answer: their faces get puffy and swell up

Parker describes in the guide as to how they fall to the deadly plague. Hendrix's parents both died of it, his father on his kitchen floor and his mother in the mines.

4. Who is the final boss?

Answer: Col. Masako

She is the head of the mercenaries. You must defeat her on level 19, the very last one.

5. What is the name of Level 11?

Answer: Capek's Inner Sanctum

Three of these levels are in a row-Chasing Capek, Capek's Zoo, and Capek's Inner Sanctum. Escorting Gryphon is Level 7.

6. Who created the game?

Answer: THQ

Sega is known for shooters (House of the Dead), but it's THQ that really created it. Activision is most famous for Guitar Hero.

Answer: True

You can play multiplayer, but not cooperative in the main game. You can play deathmatch with your friends, but with PS2, you can only play nine different levels.

At least Colonel Masako says he is. He's spent five years on Mars, researching.

You don't even do any damage to it until later. A PC (no, that doesn't stand for personal computer), the worm, and sentries are heavily armored, but can be destroyed with diligent work.
