Sonic obtains the Light Shoes in Metal Harbor. The Light Shoes allow you to zoom across a path of rings at lightning speed!

Answer: Aquatic Mine

The Air Necklace is found in the Aquatic Mine in a deep, water-filled cavern. It is arguably the hardest upgrade to obtain, since it takes a lot of bravery and skill to dive underwater and reach it without drowning. The Air Necklace allows you to stay underwater for an endless amount of time.

3. Which of the following characters fights the menacing King Boom Boo?

Answer: Knuckles

Knuckles fights King Boom Boo in the Death Chamber after collecting the three keys. King Boom Boo is one of the scariest bosses in gaming history. Well, he was to us when we were little, at least. He is taken down in a very unique fashion by hitting a timer and letting in sunlight, causing him to lose power.

4. Who rescues Sonic from Prison Island by activating the card key to his cell?

Answer: Amy Rose

Amy Rose rescues Sonic from his prison cell after Tails takes out the robots and all the security locks. It is one of the only things Amy Rose was useful for in the game.

Tails must catch up to the President on Route 101. It is arguably the easiest level in the entire game. This level also serves as introduction to the Kart Race mini-game.

Both of Tails' Emeralds are the color yellow. He uses the Fake Emerald to try to fool Eggman, but the trick ends up completely backfiring. The Real Emerald was sneakily taken by Eggman and used to power the space colony and send it blazing towards the Earth!

You need the Bounce Bracelet to be able to find it, though. The Magic Gloves are the oddest upgrade of them all, as they allow Sonic to put enemies in a tiny bubble and hurl it at other foes.

Answer: Meteor Herd

Knuckles obtains the Sunglasses in Meteor Herd. It is arguably the hardest upgrade to find, as you have to punch a meteor into a wall, revealing an iron box. You have to punch the box, activate the switch inside it (which reveals a small cavern), and then jump into that small cavern! The Sunglasses allow Knuckles to see through enemies and find hidden items.

9. How many boss fights are there TOTAL in the Hero Story ONLY?

Answer: Eight

There are a total of eight boss fights in the Hero Story: BIG FOOT, Eggman twice, Shadow twice, King Boom Boo, the Egg Golem, and Rouge. Sonic fights four of them, and Tails and Knuckles each fight two.

10. In the Hero Story's ending cutscene, what hand gesture does Sonic give after he destroys the cannon?

Answer: He gives a single thumbs-up

Sonic gives a thumbs-up and the picture is paused for a second to give the ending that epic, more victorious feel. It is trademark for Sonic to use physical gestures in a cool way, such as a finger wag or a smirk, but that one last picture just brings a tear to your eye.
