1. Which is the only level of EX Gem you cannot find as treasure in the Temple of Earth?

Answer: EX Gem Lv4

 You can pick up one of each of the first three levels of EX Gems inside the Temple of Earth. All three can be found in the section of the Temple where you must destroy bridges to fall to the lower levels.
2. When you first enter the Temple of Earth, and destroy the four pillars blocking your way, you come across a small gnomelette. You will not be able to pass unless you gave some type of potion to the gnomelette in which other area?

Answer: Toize Valley Mine

 The gnomelette is standing in the middle of the Toize Valley Mine, and he asks you for a potion. If you choose to give him a potion, he eats the whole thing, including the bottle. It seems that the event has no direct outcome, and you do not realize until you reach the Temple of Earth that it had a consequence.

The gnome will accept Mizuho Potion, Flanoir Potion, or Palma Potion. If you neglected to give the potion to the gnome, you will not be able to proceed until you go back and do so.
3. The next gnomelette that blocks your way refuses to let you pass until you cook him curry. At this point, you can choose a character to create the curry, and the ensuing scene will differ depending on which character you choose. Which character asks Lloyd for a hug in their scene?

Answer: Zelos

 If you choose Zelos, he cooks the curry and Lloyd says it's too good to waste on the gnomelette. Zelos walks over with his arms outstretched, and with a heart in his speech bubble, saying "Bud!", and waiting for a hug. Each character's scene is different, and you may have to do multiple game plays, or save before the scene and reload if you wish to see them all.

Answer: Mythril Guard

 The Sorceror's Ring can be used to create small earthquakes when in the Temple of Earth, and if used in the correct place, you can crumble the pillar that the chest is standing on. All of the other items listed can be found in the same area as the EX Gem treasures - the area where you need to collapse bridges to fall to the next level.
5. After you have fed the gnomelette his curry, you reach an area with lots of collapsable bridges, on a number of different levels. There are many treasures scattered in this area, and you can head through a tunnel at the bottom to go back around to the top and start again. Answer: 3

The bridges can be broken by using the Sorceror's Ring to create miniature earthquakes. The section of the bridge you are standing on will collapse if you use the earthquake on it, and you can fall to the next level. You will need to make your way from the top to the bottom three times in order to collect every chest, taking a different route each time.
6. In the area where you need to break the bridges to fall down to the next level, how many treasures are there to collect?

Answer: Six

 The treasures are: EX Gem Lv1, EX Gem Lv2, EX Gem Lv3, Bardiche, Ancient Rod, and Ghost Shell.
As mentioned before, if you wish to collect all of the treasures, you will need to complete the cycle at least three times.
7. There is a gnomelette who appears near the entrance of the temple, who asks you to clear the monsters out of the way so he can help you. What colour is the gnomelette dressed in?

Answer: Red

 The gnomelette needs to walk down the sloping path into the cave at the bottom. You must walk ahead of him and kill all the monsters you come across, because if he gets touched by a monster you will have to start again. This is not a particularly problematic task, because he walks very slowly, but you must make sure he enters the cave before you do, otherwise you will have to restart anyway.
8. When you reach Gnome's alter, you must battle him to allow Sheena to utilise his powers. What does Gnome drop when defeated?

Answer: Holy Symbol

 Gnome is a powerful boss with a high defense. Luckily, you do not have to fight him until you have already obtained Sylph, and if you can get Sheena to summon them in the battle, they can inflict massive damage on the Earth Spirit. Gnome is surprisingly swift for such a large creature, but most of his attacks are ranged, or hit only one character, so they are fairly easy to avoid.
9. Whose Darkness Weapon can be found in the Temple of Earth?

Answer: Sheena

 Sheena's Devil's Arms weapon, The Gates Of Hell, can be found in a black cheat near the bottom of the Temple. In order to get to it, you must pass a tough enemy called Dragon. While this may be a slight challenge, each battle you win can get you 10000 Gald, thanks to an error during the game's creation.

The Dragon will reappear every time you re-enter the area, so you can quickly boost up your cash, which can be very helpful for the rebuilding of Luin.
10. In order to reach the Darkness Weapon, you must get past yet more gnomelettes. They are waiting for their brother, and will not move until he arrives. In order to get him to arrive, you need to speak to him. Where can you find him to talk?

Answer: Altessa's House

 The small green gnomelette is inside Altessa's house, and by chatting to him, you can convince him to return to his brothers. Once he returns, the group of gnomelettes will move, allowing you to reach Sheena's Devil's Arms.
