Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What are Noise?

Answer: Beings that usually take animal forms and can attack your character

The Noise are beings which are summoned physical forms of Soul; Soul being abstract matter from the 'Underground World' of Shibuya. Reapers take this Soul and code it, turning it into animal forms called Noise. (This plot's really heavy stuff!)
2. Which is the first type of Noise that Neku has to fight in the game?

Answer: Dixiefrog

'Dixiefrogs' are the green frogs with blue legs. They are one of the easiest Noise to defeat in the game (in terms of HP and attack). They serve as a sort-of tutorial on battling the first times you face them.
3. Which of these Noise cannot deal any damage to Neku?

Answer: Bigbansprog

'Bigbansprogs' usually accompany 'Bigbanfrogs' in battle. They cannot attack you, despite having an attack value of 100; their only effect is latching onto Neku and slowing him down or stopping him from using certain pins. They are destroyed when their accompanying Bigbanfrogs are defeated; both of which take their names from 'Big Band' music.
4. How many different types of Frog Noise are there in 'The World Ends With You'?

Answer: Nine

There are nine frog Noise in 'The World Ends With You'; Dixiefrog, Bigbanfrog, Funkfrog, Brassbanfrog, Orchefrog, Southerfrog, Fifenfrog, Tradishfrog and Choirfrog. They all look and attack fairly similarly, but the difference in attack power and HP between the weakest and strongest is huge. All Noise in 'The World Ends With You' take their name from different genres of music.
5. Which of these Frog Noise has the highest HP?

Answer: Tradishfrog

The 'Tradishfrog' has the highest HP out of all of the frogs, at 3000. It also has the highest attack for a frog; and the second-highest attack power in the game. A 'Funkfrog' has 770HP, a 'Brassbanfrog' has 2000HP, and the 'Fifenfrog', which is one of the rarest Noises in the game which is only seen in one area has 2500HP.
6. Which of these is not a type of Wolf Noise?

Answer: Punk Wolf

The Wolves come after the Frogs in the list of Noise. There are three wolves; Garage, Alterna and Grunge; with Grunge being the most powerful in terms of HP, Attack, and Defence; it being a 'Taboo Noise', one which is only damaged normally by the character that has the 'Combo Puck' at the time.
7. The 'Gabba Bat' is crimson and mainly which other colour?

Answer: Red

The 'Gabba Bat' is only found on the second day of the first week in the game; under the Station Underpass. It isn't to be confused with the 'Happycore Bat', the other Bat-type Noise in 'The World Ends With You' which is purple-coloured.
8. If you leave a 'Jelly Neocoustic' alone without attacking it, what might happen?

Answer: It will 'hatch' other 'Jelly Neocoustics' or 'Jelly Germanics'

'Jelly Neocoustics', when left alone, start to act weirdly; spreading their tentacles out. This is because they lay eggs which then hatch into either more 'Jelly Neocoustics' or 'Jelly Germanics'. This is the only method of defeating a 'Jelly Germanic', as they are not found as Noise symbols by themselves.
9. What is the maximum number of tails that a 'Progfox' can grow?

Answer: Nine

The 'Progfox' is meant to represent the mythical Nine-Tailed Fox of legend. The one in the game grows tails throughout your battle wih it, however when it grows nine tales it usually unleashes an unblockable attack when it grows bigger and fires a beam of energy at you and your partner.

There are two other species of Fox Noise, the 'Ambiefox' and the 'Psychedelifox', which can grow up to three and one tail(s) respectively.
10. What is unique about the Rhino Noises?

Answer: They take less or no damage when attacked from the front

There are four Rhino Noises in the game, each of which are quite powerful. Attacking them head-on does either no damage or a fraction of the normal amount of damage. They can also attack you from the front with a dangerous and powerful horn attack.
11. How many different types of Shark Noise are there in 'The World Ends With You'?

Answer: Three

The three Shark Noise are the Swing, Bebop and Fusion Shark. They each have slightly different colours and different horns on their heads. A 'Swing Shark' killed Rhyme in the first week of the Game.
12. Which of these Noise has the highest HP?

Answer: Classi Corehog

The 'Classi Corehog' has the highest HP of all the Corehogs at 1760. The 'Electro Popguin' has 1000HP, the 'Psychedelifox' has 1700HP and the 'Dub Rhino' has 800HP.
13. Which of these Noise gives the same pin no matter what difficulty you defeat it on?

Answer: Pig Mazurka

Most of the Pigs are found in 'Another Day' in the 'Pork City' building, the secret bonus chapter at the end of the game. The Pigs have to be defeated in different ways to stop them escaping. The Pigs can only be defeated once per playthrough, and so no matter what difficulty you defeat them on they give the same pin. 'Pig Mazurka', found near the top of Pork City, gives the 'Pig' pin, which increases Drop Rate greatly. You could also sell it for 250,000 yen.
14. What is the base Attack stat of 'Cornix Canor'?

Answer: One hundred

The 'Cornix Canor' is the first real boss in 'The World Ends With You'. After defeating it, you can see on the Noise List that its base Attack is 100, although this changes depending on which difficulty you played the game on.
15. In terms of HP and Attack, which is the hardest Noise to defeat in 'The World Ends With You'?

Answer: Panthera Cantus

'Panthera' Cantus is the Noise form of Sanae Hanekoma. He is the toughest enemy to defeat in the whole game, and is usually a massive challenge to defeat on Ultimate difficulty, even at Level 100 with high stats. He is found on the roof of 'Pork City' in 'Another Day' and challenges you to a fight. His HP is 30,000 and his attack is 1,000.
