When Paarthurnax is instructing you on the "Words of Power" he explains to you how to start your shout in your Su'um or "breath". Paarthurnax also explains that building the power in your su'um is as equally important as shouting the "words of power".

The "high class" in Skyrim differentiate themselves from the common "rabble" by what they wear. The same holds true for the gourmet, who cooks for them, who must wear their chef hat to begin cooking.
