Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Is the Jailor a unique role?

Answer: Yes

Unique roles are roles that can only be present once in every game.
The Jailor is one of the most important roles as it's able to jail a player and talk to them anonymously at night, and they can even choose to kill them or spare them. If the Jailor kills a town role, they won't be able to kill for the rest of the game.
2. The playerbase often uses short terms for roles. What is BG short for?

Answer: Bodyguard

The Bodyguard is a role that is able to protect someone each night. If their target is attacked, they will attack the attacker, killing both themselves and the attacker.
3. In the old tutorial, what role could you play as?

Answer: Serial Killer

The tutorial has been removed and replaced with tips and tricks about the game. These can be turned off in the settings.
4. Which of these is not a Mafia role?

Answer: Poisoner

The Poisoner was added in the "Coven" DLC. It is able to poison players, killing them one day later. The Guardian Angel can purge poisoning.
5. Where was the game developed?

Answer: Austin, Texas

BlankMediaGames (the company behind Town of Salem) is based in Austin, Texas. It was founded in 2014.
6. Which of these is NOT a real role?

Answer: Baker

The Janitor is a Mafia role which can be used to make a dead player's role "Cleaned". The Jester is a role which wins if it gets lynched. They also win during stalemates if they were lynched. The Witch is able to control other players into attacking others. The Baker role, however, does not exist.
7. What is the "Medium's Curse"?

Answer: the Medium role dying on Night 1

The Medium role is often considered the worst one in the game. It is virtually useless, as its only ability is to talk to dead players at night. A similar "curse" is the Retributionist's Curse.
8. What is "vet baiting"?

Answer: trying to attract evil roles as the Veteran

The Veteran role can go on alert, killing all of its visitors. The "vet bait" usually fails, and the Veteran may end up killing Townies. Some common "vet baits" include tricking the Mafia into using reverse psychology, exploiting the "wine in front of me" trick, and acting suspiciously quiet.
9. Is there a "Neutrals Win!" victory screen?

Answer: Yes

This victory screen is triggered if multiple Neutral roles (example: a Jester and an Executioner) completed their goal in the event of a draw. If only one of them did, their own victory screen is shown.
10. Why was the Vigilantics gamemode removed?

Answer: it was hardly being played

In the Vigilantics gamemode, only two roles were available, the Witch and the Vigilante. Due to the Witches being able to control the Vigilantes, and because Vigilantes usually shot each other, it was very difficult to win if you were a Vigilante. It was deleted and replaced with the "Dracula's Palace" gamemode.
