Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the game "Twisted Metal 4" which of the following music artist was added as a playable character and had the character's name the same as his?

Answer: Rob Zombie

In "Twisted Metal 4" there is a vehicle called Mr. Zombie which is driven by Rob Zombie. Rob Zombie songs have been in both "Twisted Metal 3" and in "Twisted Metal 4". This was probably a tribute to him for letting them (989 Studios) use his songs.
2. What happens when you complete the original "Metroid" game in under 2 hours and start a new game by pressing start at the password screen?

Answer: Samus will not wear her suit

If you finish the game fast enough you can start a new game by going to the password screen and press start. When you do this Samus will be playable without a suit. If you finish the game in under 2 hours you can also see an ending of Samus without her suit waving at you.
3. From where did the traditional directional cross-pad still used in controllers today first originate?

Answer: Game & Watch

The Game & Watch, one of the worlds first handheld systems, was the first videogame console to have a directional cross-pad. At the time most games were just button mashers but with the directional cross-pad it was made possible to actually move your character. As you might have guessed this made the Game & Watch system a huge success.
4. What world in the original "Super Mario Bros." is the only world in which you can access a glitch to enter the "Minus World".

Answer: World 1-2

The "Minus World"(or technically world 36) is a well known glitch in the original "Super Mario Bros.". This glitch is only accessible in world 1-2 by jumping in front of a warp pipe and going through a wall and going down a pipe. When this is done you enter a water world which there is no end and you die from either obstacles or from running out of time.
5. Which of the following stores refused to sell the game "Conker: Live & Reloaded" even in it's censored form?

Answer: Wal-Mart

Due to the adult content in the game "Conker: Live & Reloaded" it was not too surprising that Wal-Mart had decided to not sell the game in their stores. Even in its censored version it was possible to play the game uncensored while playing in multiplayer mode which is most likely the reason why they refused to sell the game.

Interestingly some Wal-Mart stores sold the comparatively uncensored original Nintendo 64 version of the game.
6. Which of the following locations was originally going to be put in "Sly 2: Band of Thieves" but was taken out of the game for unknown reasons?

Answer: Monaco

In "Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves" you could unlock a video in which the game designers for the game would play and talk about the early prototype game and unfinished or canceled levels in the series. One of the unfinished/canceled levels for "Sly 2: Band of Thieves" was Monaco. Even though the level took several months to make, playable, and well detailed for unknown reasons the level was taken out of the game.
7. In the game "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix" what is the main difference about the Guard Armor boss in "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix" compared to the Guard Armor boss in "Kingdom Hearts".

Answer: It's appearance

The main difference is Guard Armor's appearance. In "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix" Guard Armor's armor is red, blue, yellow, and white. In "Kingdom Hearts" Guard Armor's armor is purple, dark purple, and black. Many heartless bosses and enemy's in "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix" are colored differently(like Trickmaster and Parasite Cage).
8. According to Dylan Cuthbert(one of the designers for "Star Fox 2") what was the main reason why "Star Fox 2" was canceled even though the game was finished.

Answer: The Nintendo 64's upcoming release

Even though the game was already completed, according to Dylan Cuthbert the reason why the game was canceled was because of the Nintendo 64's upcoming release. This was kind of odd due to the fact that at the time the Nintendo 64 wasn't to be released till a year and a half after the game were to be released.

It is also been suggested that due to high production costs and internal development problems also contributed to its cancellation.
9. Which version of "Guitar Hero 2" had a exclusive controller in the shape of a Gibson Explorer guitar when purchased in the guitar and game bundle?

Answer: Xbox 360 version

If you purchase the guitar with game bundle of "Guitar Hero 2" for the Xbox 360 you will get the exclusive for Xbox 360 Gibson Explorer controller. The Playstation 2 version comes with a red Gibson SG controller. Originally there was plans to release "Guitar Hero 2" for the Wii but for unknown reasons(possibly due to "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" coming to the Wii) the game was canceled.
10. In the game "Final Fantasy 12" what item do you get when you steal from the Alraune King during a boss battle in the Hall of Lambent Darkness?

Answer: Gimble Stalk

During the boss battle against the Topstalk, Alraune King, Pumpkin Star, Onion Queen, and Mandragora Prince in the Hall of Lambent Darkness it is possible to steal from each enemy. When you steal from the Alraune King you can get the Gimble Stalk. When you steal from the Topstalk you can get a Tomato Stalk.

When you steal from the Onion Queen you can get a Onion(kind of obvious). When you steal from the Pumpkin Star you can get a Jack-o'-Lantern(also kind of obvious).
