1. How many people are in your tribe when you begin if you do not get a woman who is nursing?

Answer: Five

It is possible to get up to ten when you start, but to do so you would have to choose five nursing women for your journey. This is not a smart idea because no one can gather food. Nursing women and children won't work!

2. What is your tribe's first food source?

Answer: Berries

You start out harvesting berries. By dropping a tribe member on the large fish bone while there is a fire, you will cause the person to bring three bones to the fire, making knives. If you drop a tribe member on the new knives (found near the Research Table) they will harvest a bigger amount of berries.

3. How do you get a nursery for your tribe?

Answer: Reach level three in Learning

There is no Technology category called Education. Although Telling Stories to children are fun, (especially to watch the adult act it out) it will not earn you a nursery. Once you do get the nursery, only an experienced tribe member can teach.

4. What is the study of the Tree of Life called?

Answer: Dendrology

Dendrology is the study of trees in general.

Answer: Reaching level three in Medicine

Reaching level three in Science only makes you earn tech points faster... And why would you need it then, anyway?

Answer: Heat up some fresh water (not saltwater) add three soapy-smelling plants, add food, eat!

Adding saltwater instead of freshwater and adding food will get you soap. The instant puke theory will get you nothing a but a few wasted minutes, and flower of your choice is just regular stew! There you have it!

The island was dying because the Tree of Life was dying. Guess why it's called the Tree of Life! It controls all life on the island of Isola. Your villagers must save the Tree to save their home.

Answer: Your villagers are sick, or you have all women and they are all nursing.

If all your villagers are sick and you don't have a healthy person to heal them, you should either hope for a miracle or click the 'Start Over' button on the Menu.

Answer: Random names, but you can change them on the Details screen.

The game automatically thinks up a name for every villager it offers you. You can change their names at any time in the game, as long as they are alive, and at least two years old. Babies don't have names until age two.

Answer: Clear the debris that is clogging the river, thus giving the Tree its water source back

All of the other options are needed in order to save the Tree, but, of course, only one can come first, and that is clearing the debris. All the other steps need the water from the streams.
