Subject: Tale of Two Kitties - and Me

Well, this won't be filled with profound insights and I'm not as good at humor as I'd like to be, but I miss my old blog - and the opportunity to chat with YOU! So....here I am. More to follow; just saying hi for now.

Try not to use the Xanax during the day if you have anything to do that might take a little thought...:) PM is a good time to take advantage of it's soothing properties.

Say Hi to the furry terrors!

I only had the 2 Xanax tablets for the MRI. Doctors here don't like to prescribe anything since they arrested a 'Doctor Feelgood' type a few years back. They would sure be great for sleep, though!

On today's episode of DestructoKitty, the Furry Terrors team up to roust Mama from her bed...so they can sprawl out in it!

I am shaking like a leaf in a thunderstorm! Just found a dead mouse on the floor in the window alcove! I am NOT good with dead things! It took me 20 minutes to get up the courage to sweep it into a box. As soon as I stop shaking, I will take it outside. (Don't dare navigate the steps with these legs while I am shaking!)

I am pretty sure it was Bubba's kill. He was looking for it once I swept it up. (And he got one once in my old place.) Bubba is officially my hero!

My mother and one of my best friends both laughed hysterically at me. Somehow, I am not finding the humor in this...

Sorry Beth, I'm with MoM!:) I feel bad for you though, because it's no fun to be stressed! If it were a large flying bug...I'd be with you!

It's a little bit funny...now that I've figured out that Rocky was the likely killer. Quiet, gentle Rocky! Evidence: he woke me this morning by tapping my face with his paw...something he's never done before. He spent most of the afternoon 'hunting' and stalking...and walloped the heck out of a fold in a rug with his great big paw. There was not a mark on the mouse. (Bubba has claws; Rocky does not.) And when I found the mouse, Bubba was sleeping 6 feet away. He did not eat it. If Bubba had killed it, I am pretty sure he'd have eaten it. (That's what he did that one time in the old cave/apartment.)

Conclusion: Bubba is my protector, but Rocky is my exterminator! And I am VERY glad they both sleep by me at night!

I learned something important today. I need to be happy and grateful for what I *can* accomplish, rather than dwelling on the things I can no longer do. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I love turkey, but have not roasted one myself in over two decades! Every website I looked at had slightly different temperatures and cook times, so I am winging it. (Pun only slightly intended.)

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! :)

My turkey turned out great! Bubba enjoyed some, too. Rocky sniffed at his plate...and chose his cat food instead - LOL! My vegetarian kitty strikes again!

I'm glad your bird turned out perfect. I knew it would.
What kind of food does Rocky eat? I didn't think vegetarian cat food was offered...

My cat can no longer eat dry food, because it causes 'crystals' in his bladder. Now it's Friskies Grilled Salmon only. Mainly because it blends with the carpet...;)

Rocky does eat regular dry cat food. But he will not touch beef, chicken, turkey or tuna when I offer it to him. He LOVES shredded cheese, popcorn, mushrooms - and especially peanut butter!

I found an herbal sleep supplement that works almost as well as Ambien. After several nights with that (and a nap for a couple of days running), I have an announcement to make.

I am rested! I am not sleepy! I forgot how good this feels! And you know what? My tummy is a little better, too. :)

Had a Fluffernutter for my bedtime snack tonight: peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on bread. YUM! (It only sounds gross until you take the first bite!) Heaven!
