Tom Mix was referred to as 'King of Cowboys' and apparently both Reagan and John Wayne were influenced by his acting style. Tom Mix was born in 1880 and he appeared in 270 films, many of them as a cowboy. Unfortunately, Mix died in 1940 at the age of 60 or he would have likely appeared in many more films.
